haven't used it yet but it fits what I'm going to use it for.

It's pricy for the dimensions, bulk sizes are about $3-4 per square foot for real carbon felt. It is great stuff, though. I use mine for safety under a modified Vargo Hexagon wood stove. Light and easy to pack. Good thing to have on hand when camping. If you are going to make a bunch of cat food can stoves, or need something to cut into pieces as heat protectors (an insulator for Esbit tabs on questionable surfaces), look at 3' X 3' Tillman Panoxidized Felt Back Welding Blanket.

I had to redo plumbing in my son's house and I needed to sweat the copper pipes and this kept me from catching all sorts of things on fire. It definitely works and is worth the money. I would buy from this guy again and I would buy this product again

Got it because of the many videos saying what a great wick it made. It’s not the right stuff for a wick. It will bring the oil up but it melts slightly and stops the process

I use it for alcohol stoves (diy) and it does a great job wicking the alcohol. Does not melt, and lasts a long while. I would buy it again.

There isn't much to say about this pad, it works. Most people who would buy it already know it is for using a torch to solder in tight spaces. The last thing you want to do is scorch, or burn the wall behind the pipe, or whatever else you might be soldering. The pad may have other uses involving keeping flames away from things that will burn. Your results may vary according to what you know, and how you use this. It is a good thing to have if you work with a torch to solder anything. Just put it behind the object you are heating so the flames to not get past it and burn something you did not intend to burn.

Works great

Ich musste ein T-Stück in eine Leitung neben einem Kunststoffabwasserrohr einlöten, ca. 1cm Abstand. Die Feuerschutzmatte hat das Rohr perfekt geschützt, zwischenzeitlich hat die Matte geglüht, aber alles ist gut gegangen. Top Produkt, dass ich hoffentlich nicht mehr brauche, da pressen so viel einfacher ist.

La tengo puesta desde hace meses bajo un horno en una estantería de madera. Cumple perfectamente su función. Totalmente recomendable.

Acheté pour braser des raccords cuivre avec une lampe à souder le long de murs et plinthes peintes.Protection très efficace contre les brûlures, traces de chauffe...J'ai brasé mes raccords en toute sérénité sans me soucier de traverser avec la flamme. Je pense pouvoir l'utiliser encore de nombreuses fois. Très bonne qualité.

Ho acquistato questo articolo perché dovevo proteggere dei cavi elettrici posizionati vicino alla fiamma di un piano cottura. Ho provato a mettere la mano con una fiamma sotto il tapettino e sono rimasto sorpreso da quanto isoli dal calore. Ottimo prodotto per risolvere il mio problema.
