You get exactly what’s described. A very nice collection of patterns.
It is what it’s title says. I’m finishing a giraffe pattern, garnet shellacked red oak on whitewashed white oak. Need to route a frame. For my 26 YO daughter who has a giraffe tattoo. Will probably use one of the deer patterns for a planned bow rack.

I love fretwork
Only thing that was difficult was having to join two halves of the outer ring pattern. I made this hummingbird plate as a small gift but she decided to put it in a glass case to protect it. Did I mention that I love fretwork?

Good source for applique designs
My father was a wood crafter; I quilt and do other types of needlework. I discovered in perusing his projects library that these books have great designs for applique and outline embroidery. This is a good source.

Overkill on details.
Nice collection of patterns but overkill on details. I used a 3/0 spiral blade and some cuts leave such thin strips on edges that they break off removing pattern . I now black out many of the unnecessary cuts and they came out nice but takes a lot of time to fix patterns. I use an RBI and Hegner scroll saw so I get excellent cuts with very little vibration. You will see what I’m referring to if try a few of these patterns. Good luck! Many have to be enlarged to at least 150 percent making it difficult to copy and a large finished piece. 8 1/2x11 is nice for home printer. Make sure you have a lighted magnifying glass when cutting. Impossible for me without it.If you publish a book with above suggestions I will definitely purchase. I am not criticizing the authors as they have put many hour of work in this book but it is too complicated for most scrollers.

the wolf stare turns out to be stunning
As usual with this type of book there are some images that I won't be making as in my opinion they are not as distinct as others. The wolf stare is amazing and worth the purchase price of the book by itself. Still working my way through some of the other images, all of which have produced, to my limited ability, excellent results.

Très beau livre
Très beau livre comme d'habitude. Pas besoin de comprendre l'anglais, les illustrations parlent d'elles même. De très nombreux modèles à réaliser.

Woodworkers Pattern Book: 75 Realistisch Fretwork
TOP
