Arrived quickly and was what I ordered, HOWEVER, it would not work on my skimmer cover, the hole was too big. I contacted the seller who is also the inventor. I provided information on my cover and he went out to purchase one for himself in order to find a solution. He called me often to update me and when he found a solution he sent it to me at no charge. Works great. Very impressed with the customer service and the desire to find solutions to this challenge. Understandable that it doesn’t work on every skimmer cover out there as a new product on the market but they now fit my type as well.

This little tool is perfect. It solves a very common issue (especially for we aging boomers with pools) and it does so very well. It just plain works and seems to me to be very sturdy construction although time will tell on that. I wish all of life's problems had such easy answers.

This is a very cool till to have for lazy children or for those that may have difficulties bending over to clean their skimmer. The skimmer lid removal part is very easy to use and works surprisingly well, but the manufacturer has a design flaw with the skimmer basket puller. The poker slides up the pole if it contacts leaves or other debris when the basket is full. This won't be much of a problem during most of the year, but if the user lives in an area where a significant amount of leaves fall into the pool in the fall, the hook will be useless unless the user knows how to modify or secure the hook.

We live in a rural area and when we built our home, we also had a beautiful pool installed. I tackled pool care with gusto UNTIL the skimmer basket became a horror show with daily surprises of dead frogs, tarantulas, and more. I got a FrogLog to provide an escape route for the poor frogs (and it is working), but I continued to have NIGHTMARES about the daily skimmer basket check. This tool has changed my life. It works just as described, and opening the cover and lifting the basket is no-fuss-no-muss. I no longer have SPSBPTSD (aka Swimming Pool Skimmer Basket Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

The circumference of the pole is just a smidge too big to fit into the hole in my skimmer cover, so I still have to stoop down to lift it off. The prongs that lift the basket work fine, but getting them into position and turning the basket just right the release it takes some precision and practice. Once I got that motion down, the tool did what it’s supposed to do. (Not sure why “suction power” is a star ⭐️ category, I went for the middle so as not to skew my rating too high or too low.)

Broke my ankle and had surgery Sept 3. Couldn’t try out on skimmer until this wk end and it doesn’t fit our skimmer basket. Went to return and says window to return closed YESTERDAY!

This is a great idea! We live in Texas and lots of creepy critters can end up in your skimmers, including poisonous snakes and poisonous spiders. We’ve had ours for a month and it’s holding up well. We also bought a spare because I really like this cool tool. Five starts, two thumbs up, happy face.😊

I had high hopes for this contraption as one of my Hayward skimmers is not easily accessible. Sadly, it has been a big let down.First, the plunger mechanism doesn’t increase the diameter sufficiently for it to pick up the lid; and second, once you manage to push the lid over to the side, the hooks are too high to pick up the basket handle.At this high price, I would have expected a much better thought out solution compatible with all popular skimmer models, but it’s clearly not the case.My recommendation? Make your own with PVC pipe.
