Price bought at: ₹9999 Short review: If you are tight on budget and you want a high refresh rate monitor for gaming, this is the best in the segment. Model: VG240Y M3 Go for it blind folded if you find a deal on this and anything less than 10k is fine for this. Long review: When my Acer Predator Helios 300 144hz inbuilt display started showing signs of slow death, I made a practical choice to add a bigger and faster display to the RTX2060 for smoother and immersive gaming. After thoughtfully checking out multiple monitors under 12k budget between 24inch and 27inch models, I found 24inch to be sweet spot for FHD resolution as this monitor will be put to use for work alongside gaming. Display density and pixelation are must have considerations while buying any monitor. I am glad I bought this. Let me list down the pros and cons I have experienced during the last 3 months of daily usage of this monitor. Pros: * High refresh rate (180hz). * Cost effective option (Though I bought it at ₹9999, during last GIF sale - early Oct 2024, it was sold for as low as ₹7800. That was a steal deal). * 3 input with 2 HDMI ports & 1 DP port which can be switched between with few clicks of physical buttons at the bottom right corner behind the monitor. I added external HDMI switch for faster and smoother input switching for my 2 laptop - 1 monitor setup. * Brand value. * Almost bezel less design. * IPS display. * HDR is so good that the colors and contrast is as great as inbuilt screen I got on my Acer Predator Helios 300 or even better I would say. Also the colors and contrast is close to what we see on Macbook pro. Though they are not comparable, when we use Macbook in clamshell mode, we won't notice a difference. Cons: * The power cable it came with has 16A plug while most electronics are operated on 6A-10A plugs so are the sockets in most power surge protector extension boxes. This had me buy a 16A-6A converter for ₹60 from local electricals store and eventually spend ₹350 to get a 6A plug cable to eliminate the need for the converter. * I wish there is a dedicated button for input switching between HDMI and DP ports. This monitor gives the output as given in the specs. Looks so good. Bezel less design, Strong and sturdy stand. Has various picture modes. Suitable for both productivity and gaming. The HDMI cable provided the montitor works fine. Note: It has various refresh rate from 25 hz to 180 hz. It supports 4k resolution from 25-60 Hz and 120 Hz. As given in specs it gives 180 hz only for 1080p resolution. And the 180 hz refresh rate is butter smooth. Few cons are: 1. The given power cord is a 16A-250V which will not be supported by normal plugs. I am using my previous monitors 10A-250V cable and it works fine. 2. The toggle button in the rear of the monitor to select and move is bit irritating while scrolling towards right.

Amazing product no problem so far it's been 1 year

I bought the Acer VG240Y M3 monitor just a month ago, and I am already facing major issues. Horizontal lines suddenly appeared across the display during normal use, making it nearly unusable. The monitor has no physical damage, and this problem started out of nowhere. After researching online, I discovered that this is a recurring issue faced by many other users of this model, which suggests a design or manufacturing flaw. I contacted Acer support regarding the problem, but their response time is frustratingly slow—they take an entire day just to reply to emails. As of now, I am still waiting for a clear resolution from them. While they have acknowledged my issue, the lack of urgency and the widespread nature of this defect make me question the reliability of this product. I will update this review once I receive a proper response and know how Acer plans to address the issue. For now, I strongly advise against purchasing this monitor due to its poor quality and slow customer service.

Got at 8k. Super colour and refresh rate for this price point. It's a 8 bit display but i think it's force 8 bit still outstanding colour output. Gaming response is great 😃 oww also have 2 speaker but if you are getting at 8-9k get it man. I waited around 2 months for this to come back in stock.

The specifications are just what is mentioned in the product description. It is a newer model compared to the VG24, so probably a successor to it. It has a 180hz display and it is supported with the HDMI cable that comes in the box. Being a gaming monitor, It comes with a big size 16 Amps power plug cable, so keep that in mind because many UPS do not have a 16 Amps socket. It has lots of features/modes that you can easily use/access by pressing the buttons on the bottom right-hand side at the back side of the monitor. It has 3 years of warranty. It has 2 HDMI ports and both support a 180hz refresh rate. It also has a Display port which is faster and better compared to HDMI. It has AMD-free sync premium so it helps to reduce lag, flickering, or gittering I tested this using my laptop and it works well and you can expect 10% better performance in gaming using this as an external monitor with your laptop you just have to tweak some settings. It has good colors and there is a dedicated sRGB mode which increases the color gamut expense of some brightness and refresh rate but you can also manually tweak the settings that work best for your needs. Viewing angles are also fine. It is an anti-glare non glossy display looks like in a matte finish. The blacks are great too, it almost looks like the display is off like an oled if you put on a black screen. I also own an old Acer laptop from 2017 and my experience with Acer has been great so far. I think acer products are budget friendly and provides best value for money.
