I'VE been taking Bayer Aspirin (and in the past ten-fiften years) the yellow, enteric-coated tablet) exclusively for 2 reasons: for "medium" level of pain and to prevent blood clots. For years when I was young I suffered from severe migraine headaches; as a child I had rheumatic fever and was very ill for quite a few years.As a result of that childhood illness, I had damaged heart valves and aortic stenosis. I also had chronic off and on problems with blood clots & suspected embolisms. Instead of taking various drugs to prevent that problem, because unfortunately most of those drugs carried potentially dangerous side effects. For that reason, I decided to take Bayer aspirin daily instead. I still do. For all the years it has been in existence, it has been a dependable and SAFE medicine.
