What's he looking for?
Another wonderful Toscano garden statue, standing over a foot tall. THe base is large enough that I'd be confident this will be steady on most surfaces. It MIGHT be prone to toppling on uneven grass, but that could soon be avoided by placing a roof tile or similar down first. The gnome looks like me on a heavy Saturday night, barely able to keep astride his toadstool, with a little snail looking on askance. The lamp is actually a separate metal piece hung from the gnome's hand with a piece of string, fixed with a bead of silicone, although I used a dab of super glue to make sure it holds fast. Be aware the lamp IS capable of striking the body of the gnome in a strong wind, so wiring it on to the gnomes hand might be a later project. Not sure why he's called Tesla - not enough arcing electricity for that, in my opinion - but whatever his name he's a cheery little fellow and one I'm happy to find a spot for in my garden.

Cheerful start to every day
This is such a happy chappy. Every morning his rosy cheerful smiley face greets us from the patio. It is rather fun to have this setting on the toadstool rather than a gnome-on-his-own. The snail is sooo cute too.I was a bit surprised that his lantern is just on a piece of knotted white elastic - somehow incongruous with the rest of it, but hey that's a minor point.Overall a decent size without being unreasonably big - will fit in with other gnomes and characters in and around the garden. We have other smaller Toscano products and they have weathered well, but this is a new acquisition so we'll see how next winter treats him.I've included a photo of our fella in situ.

Lightweight but cheers up a patio!
If you like gnomes, you will like this cheery chap sitting on the toadstool. He arrives padded in polystyrene so no risk of damage. It's quite light so would probably get blown over in some of the gale force winds the UK does get but if he fell over, he probably wouldn't suffer chips because it's made out of a resin so quite hardy. it's nearly a foot tall and looks great on the patio!
