Corelli Alliance Vivace 4/4 Violin String Set Medium with loop E

These strings sound wonderful on my 270-year-old German violin. I used to use Pirastro Gold strings on the instrument, but Pirastro raised their prices, so I went looking for a new brand. These are warm, responsive, and hold their tune very well. I play an average of 10-12 hours each week and these strings last a good long time before they start to lose their oomph and need to be replaced. I had the last set on for about a year before I replaced them.

Keep in mind I am a beginner violinist so I have not used a large variety of different strings. I bought these because they were positively reviewed against a few popular, much higher priced strings. I cannot confirm these reviews, however, these strings are much more powerful and responsive than others in this price range.

Nice and durable set of stings

I switched to these strings a few years ago because I was having so much trouble with Dominant's unwinding -- I was regularly losing A and D strings after 6 - 8 weeks. These are definitely lasting a whole lot longer, and sound great to me. I'm a relative beginner, just playing for a few years, and I play mostly fiddle music (though I do a bit of classical too). So I'm by no means a serious student or power classical player. But these work absolutely great for me, and are lasting long enough to be a good value.
