Oil Filled Heater

My neice recommended an oil heater for rooms in my home that don’t get warm enough. It’s an old 20 yo house and one side is very cold and the other comfortable. The heater radiates heat from the warm oil and is silent in the process. There is no smell. There is no loud fan and the price is excellent. I will put one in my sunroom which is brick and very cold although it has heating and cooling vents there. It does get hot to the touch and has a safety feature that turns it off if it tips.

This is a nice space heater. It heats up quickly and will keep warm a fairly large room with the door shut. This is great because it allows me to keep my bedroom warm while the rest of the house is cool at night when it is not being used, thus saving money on heating bills. The interface is decent. It comes with a manual, but some of it is confusing (you will figure it out). It has casters you install (easy), and can be moved wherever you like. It comes with handy cord storage a well. Overall a nice heater. Would make a great gift for someone needing to stay warm this winter.

Since we got solar panels I am adding electric heaters for the bedrooms and living room and reducing gas usage. What I like about this unit is that it has an auto shut-off and auto start timer ! And it is quiet! No blowing fan noise like other heaters have.... Very good quality and very sturdy-tilt proof. Awesome for additional winter heating and you can easily store it away for the summer so it does not become a permanent future in your room.One minor thing to keep in mind is that the temperature sensor reads the temperature around the heating element, but farther down the room it is cooler. So if you want your room to be at 73F, you need to set the thermostat at 77 or 78F.I am buying a second one for my Mom!

This heater does heat but it is made to heat your space ONCE to whatever temperature you set the thermostat to and then shut off. I don't mean to stop heating and wait for the temperature to go back below what you've set the thermostat to, I mean it shuts itself OFF just like if you pull the plug out of the wall. If you set the thermostat to a temperature that is at or above the temperature that the space is at when you set it, the heater shuts itself off in about 3 minutes without ever heating. Once again I mean like you pull the plug out of the wall. In both cases you have to push the power button again and set the temperature for it to try to heat to the temperature you set.I thought maybe it was only turning off the display after so much time and would start to heat again when the temperature dropped below the set temperature, so I put it out on my porch where it was in the 20s. I let it sit outside for about 15 minutes to see if it would come back on. 15 minutes later I checked it and the heater was as cold as ice and still completely shut down. I pushed the power button again and it turned on and start heating. I carried it back inside and let it come up to the temperature I set and it immediately turned itself completely off again.There is a 3/4 black and a 3/4 white pie looking button on the control panel. If you push either one of them the display shows "hO" and heater will start to heat but still completely shuts down when it gets to the set temperature. If you push either one of them more than once the panel locks up and the only way to make any of the buttons work again is to unplug the heater from the wall and plug it back in. It came with no manual at at so I don't know what hO means.If you are looking for a heater to heat your space to a set temperature once and never do anything else I can say it does put out a good amount of heat after a few minutes like all other oil heaters and It does have a nice look. If you want a heater to heat and keep your space heated to a set temperature you better get a different heater.Amazon was great about helping me return it by the way.

First it came damaged on the outside, I don't know for sure but I highly doubt it supposed to look like that and I was even willing to overlook that. Ad long as it worked, and then got hit with no. 2. It keeps turning itself off after just a few minutes it won't even stay on for 5. I've tried multiple times and every time it shuts off

I bought this to help save on my power bill. I use it in my bedroom at night and it heats up the room well. And it holds the set temperature perfectly. It’s easy to use as well.
