Perfect piece
Our sons 2004 Saturn Ion 1 had an issue with the door lock and this was the exact piece we needed. We installed it ourselves and haven’t had a problem since.

The right part
This part fit perfectly and I can now unlock the drivers door.

Part fits perfectly, but YouTube is your friend.
Appears to be identical to the OEM part. I found a YouTube item handy to be sure to remove the outer door skin to access the rod. Just be sure to take care removing the nylon PUSH-PIN to remove the door handle. You’ll need to slide something quite thin under the pin, which has a thin top, and I recommend you make your own puller as I did. It took as long to remove my door handle as to do the whole job.
