My favorite shoe
Though not a fashion oriented person, these shoes are awesome. I typical like dressing semi-casual and these shoes are perfect for almost any occasion. I've had them for about 2 years now and I worn them for everything from golfing and hiking to church and weddings. They look great, fit like a sock and are as durable you press them to be. I've gotten so many compliments on them and they're the most comfortable thing ever. I'm probably buying another pair in a week or 2.

.
These shoes are tough on the outside and comfortable on the inside. I went with the Ambergold color expecting it to be as rich as it is in the photos, but it was not. Nevertheless, the shoe still manages to look great. -Very rigid outer -Contour easily -SUPERB traction, especially in wet conditions -Comfortable -Stylish -Built to last Excellent all around shoe.

miss marked or mis represented and too little material in the tongue area a joke to call them E
Can't even put them on. Appear to be well made but are clearly miss marked. Comparing them to other brand name shoes they appear near a half an inch narrower. The top of the shoe in the tongue area was also too tight or flat. No one with an arch in their foot is going to come close to sliding this shoe on.

change in shoe size order
Hi!! thank you very much for providing an excellent service shipping this pair of excellent shoes, the Sebago Clovehitch II shoes are very comfortable, and look great. The only untoward appereance with the shoe was that I bought a shoe size 10 M and you sent me a 9.5 M size...thanks god the shoe size that you sent me was perfect in length and width, please in the future take care with the requested size shoes...Bye and Thank you!

Couldn't find the right fit for me
I tried two different sizes of this shoe (99.9% of my shoes are the same size), and couldn't make it work. 10 D was way too narrow on one foot, and 10 E was too big and the heels kept slipping. They do look good and feel like they'd be comfortable, however. I wanted this to work. I would urge you to try them as they seem well constructed and comfy, but I'm just unsure why they are so different than all my other slip on shoes in terms of sizing?

Got about 500 miles out of this super wide shoe!
I have feet like Barney Rubble from the Flintstones - 7.5 EEEE. The attribute that most attracted me to this shoe was the super wide sole - wider than any shoe of this boat type that I could find when I was looking for a shoe (which I only had to look for as my old shoe was no longer made) - which for a man like me is important as my foot likes to spread out. (Of course, my size of this shoe is 7.5 WW, which, as I understand, is only equivalent to EEE, but this shoe easily wears into that last E.) This shoe does the job. I also have a fairly high instep (or so I've been told by the Al Bundy's of the world), and I've had no problem with that as well. I figure that I've walked about 500 miles (on pavement) in the pair I had (I mostly live in Europe so I walk A LOT!), and will probably do a bit more, but there are the telltale signs of wear, so there probably isn't much more in them to go. But still ... 500 miles? And I concur that they take a while to break in, as they are not much forgiving at first. I've had other boat shoes that broke in easier. The bottom line is that if you like the comfort of a boat shoe and have super wide feet like me, this seems to be your only choice. It's not cheap (but not really that expensive either) - and finding the WW in a slightly out of the way size like 7.5 could be tricky (although it seems that it can always be bought at the Sebago website for full price) - but someone in our situation can't be too choosy!

Not your classic Sebago loafer
I purchased in succession several pairs of the Sebago loafer back in the 1980s and 1990s. The shoes were then made in the US, as I recall. Each pair fit properly and took only a few days to break in. The leather was sturdy and good for several re-sole jobs. The finish was gorgeous with some of the leather's grain showing through, giving much depth to the finish. Today, the shoes are made overseas. The opening to insert your foot is now shorter and the shoe will no longer accommodate my high arch. The finish looks more like paint than polish. I can't comment on the quality of the leather or the soles, for I couldn't get my foot inside to wear them. A few years ago I wore a similar Sebago model (the Sherman) which had a rubber instead of a leather sole; the leather uppers on these failed after about 1 year. Classic?, I don't think so.

Call me an easy target if you must, but I have only ever bought Sebago shoes in years and years. Why? Because they're quite stylish, very well made and comfortable for a tall man with wide feet. I wear them for business, yachting, walking, visits to the pub. What more can I say? Oh yes, the important bit! They're very good value for money. No, I'm not getting paid for this, nor have I ever met anyone from Sebago! So get well shod! Patrick D.

Superbe mocassin Sebago classic Dan, made in Mexico.
