is it push up or a thin padding?

This would lead me to believe that it is not extremely padded and not intended to be a push-up bra. However, we do recommend checking out the manufacturer's websites for more specific information!

Why do some show 2 hooks in back and some show 3 hooks? Are they different model numbers?

I have 3, size 34DD, with 3 rows of hooks and 1/2" wide shoulder straps. Pretty sure I once bought a size 34D, and it had the thinner shoulder straps and back strap with 2 eyelets. It was so much more petite/dainty looking but unfortunately, it just couldn't hold the twins.

A 38B fits me but I need more coverage for sides, what size should I get?

You may be wearing the wrong cup size if you need more coverage on the side. Get your bra size professionally measured like at Victoria’s Secret or another fine lingerie shop. Once you have the right size then buy this bra so it will fit you perfectly.
