The media could not be loaded.  This makes placing a laser soooooo easy and quick. If you don't have space, this way better than any sort of tripod stand. It doesn't quite operate the same way as a painter's pole, so it took me a minute to figure it out. I cover it in the video.

The pole sections easily screw together, however, the first time you use this one must think about the sequence of assembly if you are using the tripod or the “quick adjust bracket” that has a spring foot. I found that the tripod is somewhat small to use the pole above six feet since placing an expensive laser level near the top make the assembly somewhat top heavy and the spread of the legs are not large to provide a stable platform. When you need to place the laser level higher that is where the pole assembly with the rubber head and the spring loaded foot assembly is the answer to provide a stable platform for the laser level. For a 9 foot ceiling you need to assemble four pole sections, extend the base section using the retractable extension tube, and use the spring pedal to lock the pole assemble between the floor and the ceiling. The pole assembly is locked to allow the laser level to be installed on the quick adjustment bracket and position the laser and fine tune the height. I already had a tripod I used for my Laser tool. I thought it was plenty. Hold the laser in place right, good, right? For some basic needs, yes that worked fine. But when I got involved in bigger projects, it was a bit more cumbersome figuring out some measurements and getting proper placements. Then I can across this tripod and after reading some of its capabilities I had to get to see how much better I could utilize my laser tool. All I can really say from a noobs perspective is, you need one. Adjustments and getting measurements are easier. Working in a big space and having the ability to secure it to the ceiling is also a nice touch.As I don't have experience with other laser level tripods, I can't really tell you if the price is good or not. This one in particular is good quality and is sturdy. Price in general for a tripod for what this can does seem on point.

I've been using light stands as my laser level holder for the longest time. I never realized how much nicer one of these poles is. The issue with light stands is that they wobble around and make getting the laser on target take a lot more fiddling. This thing locks to the floor and ceiling, and holds on like a rock. Because it's spring loaded on the bottom, I don't even have to worry about floors that might move.I also really like that the holder has a built in fine tune adjustment. Getting precise horizontal planes is very easy.It has a tripod, but for me the pole by itself is all I want to use. The tripod is just nice for times when I might run into a multi story ceiling. My ceiling is 8 feet tall, and I only needed to use 3 poles out of 6.Overall this is a fantastic tool, and I wish I had it sooner.Highly recommended.

I have always had trouble finding the right place to place my laser level. This is perfect for that. I can pretty much put it anywhere I like now. As long as there is space for the legs. The first time I used it, it was a little complicated to assemble. Works great I love it. It also comes with its own carry/storage bag.

Works perfect for my Dewalt line laser level.
