The weight is accurate (within a few ounces when I checked with a scale), and the plates feel solid and well-built. The rubber coating has just the right amount of bounce when dropped, and they fit snugly on my Olympic bar without wobbling.They aren’t as thick as some cheaper bumpers, which means I can load more weight on the bar, and the finish has held up well after multiple workouts. There’s a bit of rubber smell and oiliness when first unboxing, but it fades quickly.Overall, for the price, these are a fantastic addition to any home gym. For the money these are probably the best quality weight plates you can get that are a fraction of the price of traditional/metal weight plates. I got 2 45 lb. plates for less than what I would pay for 1 plate of the traditional style at the local sporting goods/fitness store.These come well packed in sturdy boxes, and are wrapped in plastic. There is a bit of shipping grease on them and they do have a little bit of a plastic smell to them. The smell will go away in a few months and just have some wipes on hand when they arrive so you can wipe/clean them off. They look great, have a good feel to them, and work with the 2.5 inch barbells. These were a huge addition to my home gym since I was moving up to heavier weights on squats and deadlifts and needed to buy more plates behind my first 300 lb. Olympic Set. Other plates were cost prohibitive and I was initially skeptical about these given how "cheap" they were/are, but they are high quality and good plates. These have also been great for deadlifts since they are a bit easier on my floor padding than the metal weights.The only drawback is that there isn't a good handle or spot to grip the plate when you take it off the rack, so with the heavier plates you'll have to use 2 hands to pick them up and rack them. Will certainly buy a few more of these when I need to expand my weight set.

I now have 300lbs of CAP economy weights. In addition to a great product - value - their customer service is top tier! I’ll be buying more!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good product. Good price.I have had smell problems with the 25 lbs and 15 lbs. Burt smell. Plastic they are wrapped in is being put on too quick. Not enough time to cool down and breathe. Probably cause they make so many for orders. I didn't have same problem with 45 lb and 55 lb. Over all great product. I let sit outside for 2 days and spray with straight vinegar. That also works for gym Matt's.

First off, if the smell when walking into Harbor Freight or Northern Tool makes you nauseous, these aren’t for you. If getting a bit of oily residue on your manicured hands the first couple times you handle something, these aren’t for you. You’ve been warned, so don’t buy them thinking your luck is better than everyone else’s and the rules of the universe somehow don’t apply to you, and then leave a 1 star review whining about the horrible smell and the oily residue.If you are however looking for some bumper plates for a garage gym that won’t break the bank these are for you. They’re nothing special except for heavy round circles that fit Olympic size bars. These are especially great when you snag them on sale for less than $1/lb. The weight seems to be on par with the labels.One real con, and it’s minor, the 45’s are a bit wider than I would have anticipated, they will take up more space on the bar than typical iron weights or the higher end brands do, but it’s also in the listing pictures. However it’s not enough to deter me from buying them in the future when I catch them on sale again. Or find a like new set that someone returned because their luck ran out…

Exactly what I was expecting - great product and quality looks awesome. it comes with oily product that needs to be wiped (clean)

Weight works great. Had a slight burnt rubber smell to it opening the box but went away after wiping with some rubbing alcohol and airing out.
