This item was required as a WiFi to Ethernet adapter to provide a broadband service to a room remote from my router. Set-up was straightforward using the WPS buttons with the adapter temporarily in the same room as the router. After connecting I moved the adapter to the remote room. Although there are 9in brick walls between the two devices the AX1500 made a solid connection and delivered a download speed of 150Mb/s - the same as at my router. An excellent performance!

This product exceeded expectations and was worth every penny. I needed to connect my DVR to the router, but due to the DVR’s awkward placement, a wired connection wasn’t feasible. Additionally, the DVR lacked WiFi capabilities. This device not only boosted the signal but also allowed me to connect the DVR via a wired connection, saving me considerable expenses. The speed is reliable enough to stream my camera feeds online seamlessly. I highly recommend this to anyone facing similar challenges!

I bought this to extend a CCTV camera where I can't run a cable. I do this already with a Brostrend 1200 I bought in January 2024, and that works fine, but I needed another for a new camera. I bought this and was really happy with the results, the antennae are better and I get better results than with the 1200. However ... While I was setting up the CCTV camera's users for ZoneMinder etc, I noticed the IP address I was accessing it from looked a bit odd. They weren't in the range I'd designated in my DHCP pool, and it wasn't just one machine, my desktop and laptop had weird addresses. I thought something was awry for a moment, but did a quick check with "nmap --script broadcast-dhcp-discover" from a Linux machine and noticed I was getting TWO responses. One from my pfSense firewall - which is good - but another from this AX1500 - which is very bad. It responds to DHCPDISCOVER and chucks out whatever sort of IP address it feels like at the time. There is no option to turn this off. A DHCP server isn't even mentioned anywhere in the documentation, the setup, or the interface. The interface is pretty poor, in fact if you inspect the pages you'll see you're served commented out sections of HTML. That's not good either. It also assumes you're only ever using a /24, so you're only able to change the last octet if you want to set a manual IP address. Even though you can set a subnet mask significantly larger a /24, you're limited to only changing the last octet. You can affect this by attempting to give the unit a static IP over your own DHCP server, and it'll work once or twice (so at least you can get it where you want it to be), but upon a reboot it'll choose a new MAC address, making your DHCP server useless for this item. I've spoken to their tech support and I have to say they were very responsive and did their best, but they told me the DHCP server can't be disabled. As such this item is not fit for purpose and will just cause absolute havoc on your network. This is just a firmware change away so perhaps later versions will be better. My 1200 version works fine, this doesn't.

The instruction manual assumes the buyer is familiar and comfortable configuring computer equipment. The addition of a simple line drawing of components used in the setup process would be invaluable and helpful.

I ordered this just expecting to get ethernet to my computer but it also hosts another wifi network you can connect to and change the name and password which is amazing

A network card for my Kyocera printer costs £120. This item cost £39.99 and was easy to install and made my printer fully accessible network printer! Easy to use. Small and appears well made. I’m very pleased! It has WPS connectivity so if you have newer home, wireless router with WPS then it’s plug and play with the press of one button.

I echo previous comments regarding the device acting as a DHCP server. Mine did it, even in extender mode (confirmed with wireshark). Managed to fix it by setting a fixed IP for the AX1500 rather than have it assigned one by my actual DHCP server. This is really bad practice and could end up breaking lots of stuff in the network, especially if you have some clients statically assigned an IP. I'm fortunate that I noticed this early, others may not be so fortunate and could spend an awful lot of time trying to diagnose the problem as it's not immediately apparent that this device is at fault. Also had to factory reset the unit more than once to get it working. Overall really dissapointed as the price of this unit suggests it is of good quality, but until this issue is fixed, I think that is misleading.

Funktioniert so wie es soll ohne Probleme. Die Einstellung hat etwas gedauert aber wenn es erst einmal richtig eingestellt ist gibt es gar keine Problem.

I got this to connect an older wireless printer to my WiFI as it is cannot see 2.4ghz. Setup was easy, but using the printer via Wi-Fi was not feasible. I did, however, use this connect to my backyard Ring camera and Echo Show 1 (which stills works perfectly). Both are located on the opposite side of of the house from the router. The signal is now strong per the Ring app!
