To install, I found it beneficial to use a C-clamp or a welding bar clamp to compress the pin in until tight and then using a mallet/hammer hit the end of the clamp and it will shock hit the pin in. Finally got them on with the help of a large C clamp (with a cheater pipe on the handle) and a framing hammer (so it wouldn’t mushroom the end of the pin). Difficult to start the pin through compression sleeve.I found myself giving up because I couldn't get the pin started into the sleeve either....After initial failure to get pin started.....I went to workbench!I drove pin halfway into sleeve on the bench.. I wanted to see what force was needed...allot!!!But once started into sleeve, additional force is much reduced. Did not use hammerlocks for this test. Of course I had to use a vice and drive the pin back out. Easy.I went back to the truck. I used a scrap of 1x2 and wedged hammerlock against wood. Instead of holding hammerlock and driving pin downward... the wood wedged above the hammerlock against truck hitch frame.Kidding aside, I filled the sleeve with Vaseline;)I drove the pin upward, swinging the hammer from the ground upward. The scrap of wood gave me a surface to hammer against and a longer swing area.Took 5 minutes.This process worked for me.I would recommend buying.
