Good quality and fits well
I liked this protector because it looked thick enough to protect my frame for multiple chain slaps and so far it's done great. My friend just bought a brand new $1500 mountain bike and it has a very similar looking chainstay protector and his came from the factory like that so this goes to show that this style of product is proven. Simple to install however it can take multiple tries to apply it perfectly. The adhesive is very sticky and I'm not worried about it separating from my frame anytime soon.

Chain Slap Protection
I bought these for our Lectric xp4 750 step thru bikes. I had heard that the chain might slap on the frame and scratch the paint. I don't know if it does but these stick great and look kind of cool.

Came off after one ride.
I bught this for my commuter/gravel bike. It didn't have a chainstay protector. This looked like a good product. I made sure the chainstay was clean with no residue. I applied the protector. it was a bit difficult to get it to stick at first. I applied a lot of hand pressure and it formed to the chainstay. I rode my bike the next day. This is in Southern California in the summer; no rain or mud on surface streets. When I got home, the protector was peeling off. I tried using a hair dryer to heat it to help reshape/reattach it. It was fine when I was done. The next morning, it was coming off again. I hadn't even ridden it, yet. I tried the second protector, same thing. I don't know if it was a fluke, but I will not get these again.

Fits as expected
Works as intended, holding up well. Great feel, and it seems like it will clean off easily as well. Well worth it!

Disappointed
I can give you less but the material is good even if the glue is not. After installing the first one, but not before thoroughly cleaning the area, it finally took off after several days. Fortunately, there are two in the package. I clean the area where I'm going to install it again. After several days, it's unstuck again. It's a shame because the area looks very nice and protected, but the adhesive isn't strong enough. It's a waste of money.

Great protector, bad tape
The protector itself is fantastic, keeps things really quiet. The adhesive tape is pretty poor so even with alcohol wipe to clean it wouldn't stick. Added some adhesive and a couple of zip ties and it's all good.

Good protector - terrible adhesive
I applied it to a surface cleaned with 99% alcohol. Stuck well for a few hours then just like in most comments by others it began peeling back. I even covered in in velcro straps to keep it nice and firmly in place, didn't make a difference. The problem is that it uses a very thin double-sided tape that separates from the rubber itself - you can see that they don't put enough adhesive on that side of the tape, so it just peels off. I like the rubber piece and wanted to try again. So I pulled it off, cleaned the remaining adhesive off the bike and the rubber with degreaser, and glued it using a polyurethane glue instead. We'll see how well it holds, but so far much better than the original. This product would be 5 stars if it stayed put on its own. I'm giving it 2 because it doesn't meet basic functionality.
