Started with a Thurso EPS core board which was fine to try things out.....But decided to upgrade and the Mach 10 with the PP core was the best value out there. It is quick and responsive and gets me in with the big waves with confidence. Well built and sturdy. Actually bought a second one for back-up. I was riding small waves in Fl so I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get any good rides but I was pleasantly surprised. This board doesn't have a leash, which is fine for small wave riding but would be necessary on the west coast. Waxing the top edges of the board is a must for grip especially if you have sunscreen on your hands.
