I live in a rural area at the end of the phone company's reach. I am the last house on the line. The modem will slow way down and keep losing connectivity. This happens several times a week if not daily and it's worse in the winter. I often have to unplug my modem, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in. It happens a lot in rainy weather and at night when I am in bed. I have found by unplugging and waiting when I plug it back in it gets a new clean collection. However, getting up to do this is a real pain especially when it's cold in the house. Our only heat is a wood burning stove and we often just let the house get very cold at night. Also the modem is hidden behind the T.V. in a hard to reach place. It makes me very grumpy to have to get up and reset the modem.This remote switch is a jewel. My bedroom is adjacent to the living room just across a hallway and down a ways. I estimate I am about 40' from the modem and have two intervening walls. However, the remote works like a charm. I simply hold it up in the air as I lie in bed. Click the off, wait about a minute and click the on and the modem does a clean reboot and gets a clean connection. I could not be more pleased.

Use for night table lamp. So much easier to use remote than to fiddle fart around trying to turn a light on or off at bedtime. Just keep the remote on night table and push a button and lights on or off. Great little tool for me. Highly recommend.

We have a big arc lamp over our master bed that I like to have on to read or work on my laptop right before I go to bed, but I don't like having to get up and manually turn it off when it's time to go to sleep, so I bought (yes, paid full price) this remote system to solve that problem and it works like a charm! I priced out similar products at big box stores near my house and everything was way overpriced and included more remotes or outlet controllers than I needed, so I was thrilled to find this on Amazon! I love that you don't need to be an electrician to figure out how to set it up. It's literally idiot proof (my favorite!). Plug it in, push the button. Done. The response is instantaneous and has a long range. I use these types of devices to control lamps throughout my house and would definitely buy more of this brand in the future and recommend for anyone looking!

I have a home professional recording studio and the way my playback speakers are situated made it difficult at time to get behind them to active their power switch. Using the Beastron Remote control gave me the ability to, with a touch of a button, turn on all my speakers at once! Love it!

My remote controlled receptical arrived in a timely manner. It is a very nice looking item. The packaging was adequate. I haven't had time to give the receptical a really good try yet, but so far I very pleased.

I would give you five stars, except there is no UL or CE safety listing. The transmitter and receiver were already paired, at the factory. That's nice, no messing around with pairing. The generic Chinese relay is rated for 10 amps, but that's for a resistive load. I wouldn't use this relay to switch a 10 amp motor, but it should be fine for 5 amps worth of random appliances, like a typical home theater setup. I used the first set to control a lamp from across the room. I first tested the transmitter, and it works anywhere in the house, 30 feet and three walls between transmitter and receiver.I used a second set for a home automation project. I looked up the transmitter chip and buzzed out the board. It turns out you can overdrive the on and off button switch signals directly, with CD4000 family CMOS logic running off the A23 battery in the transmitter. The logic signals are +12V high and 0V low. A button press is a 20 ms high going pulse.There are four locations on the transmitter case and board, for pushbutton switches that are not installed. That's weird. Four buttons on the case that do nothing. They are all wired up with diode logic on the board, too. So it looks like omitting the buttons was a design decision made after the case was designed and the diodes were soldered. Weird.

I was looking for a remote switch of some sort so I wouldn't have to climb behind the Christmas tree each morning and night. I found some that hung on the tree and some foot activated. I decided I'd rather not have one dedicated to just hanging on the tree. I could spend the same amount of money and have a remote controlled outlet for the rest of the year too.This has worked perfectly. Easy to pair. It doesnt need to "see" the outlet to work. We had presents puked high in front and the remote still worked great.Now I'll use it to turn on & off a light that's in an awkward spot until next Christmas when I either swap it out or decide that I need multiple outlets controlled by remote.

This is one of the best little known inventions in my mind. When our first child was a newborn i needed an easy way to turn on and off a dim lamp to change her diapers in the middle of the night. This was a perfect solution! Now we use it in her room during nap and bedtime - when we finish story time i can easily continue to rock her and not interrupt our quiet time by clicking the lamp off with the remote. I have since bought more for our new daughters room, our master bedroom and 2 for a vacation home because they are so handy. Great price and so useful!
