Great book. Helpful to actors who want to further themselves and others.
This is such a fantastic book. It is the most helpful book I have ever had. I use it for teaching kids and other actors, for having fun with my friends, and to make myself a better actor. The exercises and games in this book help all sorts of people and they give the people the choice of how in-depth they want to use them. It was also very cheap here on Amazon to buy the paperback used, that turned out to be in perfect condition. If you are looking for a book to help yourself as an actor or just to make a group of people better aquatinted, then this is your book.

Great book great people
This text taught me to use the context of game and theater to speak truth to power. to move into my own body and subjective experience. To live, fully embodied and enjoy the full embodiment of others. Three cheers.

Games for Actors and Non-Actors
This book is more for an acting class. I tried to use some of them in my social studies class. However, many are not applicable.

This book will change your life
Augusto Boal's description of working in a brazillian prison with both the guards and the prisoners, was a real tear jerker. It also was enlightening. As a trainee teacher, I was helping BTEC studnets who were studying Timerlakes Our Country's Good and I ordered this book to help me find some activities that I thought would be useful to do in class with my Performing Arts students. I was blown away by how poignient and amazingly coincidental, the opening pages were to the true storyline of the first fleet's attempt in 1789 to stage the first ever Theatre production in Australia using Convicts as the cast. It's almost as if half the world have been standing still, since that date. That the problems that existed in 1789 still need addressing now in 2013. When will we ever learn? Thank the Lord for people like Govenor Phillips and Augusto Boal and Timberlake.

Amazing handbook for all facilitators
This book was recommended to me by an actor friend, Alex Davison, and it is one of the best recommendations from someone ever. As a facilitator and consultant in innovation in creativity, I found this book has hundreds of techniques to help groups understand each other better and be more creative. Try them, they work.If you have a copy and have used even one of the techniques, you be more effective in your role in helping change to happen. The book will also help CEOs think about how greater fairness can be brought into the workplace, especially in these austere times. The humanity that underlies the book is really uplifting too.

Useful fro anyone interested in drama
I had to use this book for a practical seminar, but ended up buying it because it has so many games and warm up exercises that will be useful in any dramatic/theatrical situation. Interesting, quirky and good for attaining some knowledge into games from other cultures.
