The Wheels on the Bus, a perennial favorite of the toddler set, gets a uniquely Sesame Street spin in this very funny Little Golden Book. Elmo, Grover, and Cookie Monster board a bus and meet some wacky passengers, including a furball with a boombox, frogs, cows, a brass band, and a family of yipping Martians. The sound effects in the chorus reflect the voices and activities of the passengers in a way that will have little ones—and adults—laughing out loud as they join in the song. Review: She and I both enjoy this book - Wheels on the Bus is one of those classic songs that most kids know. After singing it with my daughter for the 75,834th time, we started making up our own lyrics. While I wanted to use more realistic lyrics that reflect my own experiences on public transport, we usually would add things that would make sense to someone about to begin kindergarten. Then I ordered this ebook because my daughter loves "Monster at the End of this Book." She is not a Sesame Street fan, but I figured she would still get a kick out of the book even if she did not recognize most of the characters. She and I both enjoy this book. SPOILER WARNING! READ PAST THIS POINT ONLY IF YOU WANT THE PLOT RUINED Each page contains some variation of Wheels on the Bus lyrics, including some of the usual verses (e.g., wipers, driver, etc.). However, we also have new ones such as the little alien muppets who make vweep sounds and other such hijinks. My favorite part of the book are the pictures. They chronicle the plight of the common man who just wants to make it to work. On the first page the man gets on the bus in the rain and just wants to read his newspaper in peace. We start with minor inconveniences like water dripping on his paper or Cookie Monster getting crumbs all over. Then you see the man's ride becoming more and more surreal as chaos ensues. The man eventually decides to just get off of the bus and take a cab. I can relate. My daughter loves the variation in the lyrics, and I like the spin on the story. It's good fun. Review: All about Grover - Wonderful book for my wife who’s a huge Grover fan.

Board book is missing the last page
I have a 1.5 year old so still prefer the sturdiness of a board book. But the board book version leaves out the ending of the book. I’ve included a photo of the back of the board book vs. the last page of the Golden Books version. The story itself is adorable, especially for a kiddo who loves both the wheels on the bus song and Sesame Street characters. But the story is so much better with the last page included. Very bummed!

“Wheels on the bus” song in book format
This is literally “the wheels on the bus” song with some additions- like frogs, cows, martians. I don’t love reading it over and over but my toddler thinks it’s fun. Cute illustrations.

A read-aloud favorite
This story is a take on The Wheels on the Bus, but has amusing situations happen on the route. Many Sesame Street characters are along for the ride, including Cookie Monster eating his way through one of the verses. There is one rider who finally has enough of the crazy antics and gets off the bus, only to flag down a taxi driven by Grover. Comic gold for a 4-year old.

Brings together the classic and new!
This is a very version of "Wheels on the Bus" Sesame Street style! It has some of the classic "Wheels on the Bus" verses like "The baby on the bus cries" and "The wipers on the bus go". And some unique to Sesame Street verses like "The monster on the bus says" and "The band on the bus plays". I love how it brings out different characters and aspects of Sesame Street. I love how it combines the original plus some unique verses to Sesame Street. My toddler loves to sing along the verses she already knows, and learning the new ones! We are huge Sesame Street fans and book collectors, and this is a new treasure in our home! It is absolutely worth the purchase!

GREAT BOOK FOR COOKIE MONSTER FANS
Great book our two and a half year old twin boys absolutely love it. The repetition in the text is excellent as they love finishing off what I am reading. I love reading it to the them too.
