?how tall is the 24oz wit spout?

If I have the 24 oz bottle, then it's just a tad under 12". My problem is I can't remember what size I bought. However, my bottle's slenderer shape tells me it's the 24 oz. Hope this helps.

It’s 9 1/2 inches tall including spout.

Mine does not leak from the spout or the stopper. I was thrilled that there was no messy oil to clean up.

is it necessary to wash the inside of jar for the first time use?

It’s always a good idea so you don’t compromise the oil you put in there. There could be little particles inside from when they made it. Wash it with very little dish soap and slant it/tilt it upside down to dry. Then fill it with the oil in the next day.
