Welcome To Paradise

The stories set on loving families is well positioned and guides the reader towards absolute warmth. It is a knack of the author to bring diverse characters in a short story and demand kind attention. All of the stories start and end well, after reading one can feel the sigh of satisfaction as the writing is plain, well-researched and adding humor doses at the appropriate circumstances. Good one.

Good narration by a funny writer

The author presents five stories, each centering around a woman and her immediate family. The main characters in these narratives are typically middle-aged women, with an exception made for a story featuring a young mother. The overarching theme of these stories revolves around confronting the challenges associated with age, challanges and complexities with relations, or death.Significantly, male characters often assume a peripheral role in the female protagonists' lives, predominantly serving as sources of distress.The narratives consistently strive to portray a resilient woman as a role model, influencing the main character's journey in each story.A recurring motif involves three generations within the stories, positioning the main character in the middle and navigating relationships with the other two generations. The tales exhibit a multicultural or secular flavor, potentially driven by commercial motives or other belief systems.Upon completing the book, readers may find themselves adopting a woman's perspective, as the narratives aim to capture life lessons through the lens of bold women. The author deliberately avoids making overt philosophical statements or generalizing life lessons, allowing readers the autonomy to draw their own conclusions.Rarely do we encounter literature offering a genuine woman's viewpoint, particularly as young women are often deemed too inexperienced to articulate their mindset in a literary fashion. I read a book after long tym it's easy to finish book. Each story gives bite of different flavours. Nicely written.

The book itself was okay won’t recommend

What sets twinkle Khanna apart is her ability to infuse genuine human experiences into her stories. The authenticity with which she explores grief is both poignant and refreshing. The brilliance in her work lies in the knack for narrating heartbreaking stories with a touch of humour and lightness. It's a rare talent to balance on the tightrope between sorrow and laughter, and Twinkle Khanna accomplishes it effortlessly.Every tale grips the heartstrings, leading the reader through a labyrinth of emotions that range from heartbreak to laughter in the blink of an eye … my favourite being ‘Nearly Departed’ and ‘Jelly Sweets’.

I have relished all the prev books twinkle Khanna had written. But this one was just dull and dry. Didn’t work for me.

The 5 stories in this book are about the different emotions and phases that people have in life. Though the stories are built up well, I found that they ended abruptly sometimes, having an open ending or leaving it up to the readers' imagination. Overall, a decent read.

I have read all of Twinkle’s books and this one by far is the most matured of her writing. It reminded me a little bit of Rohinton Mistry’s writing style. The last story is the one I loved the best. The way she has described grief shows the maturity of her writing. Highly recommend. .
