It was only when I read the 2nd to last page of the manual that the 2000 watt capacity is only for 40 miliseconds; 0.04 seconds. The small motors I have run less than 1000watts, but on startup they run between 1000 and 2000watts. The problem is most small motors take more than 4/100ths of a second to start up. The manufacturer needs to actually list this in the specifications and not just on the back page of their manual.
