Exceeded Expectations: A True Gem for Home Studios
From the moment I unboxed the Auphonix Pro Microphone Shock Mount, I knew I was in for a pleasant surprise. Despite its budget-friendly price point, this shock mount feels anything but cheap. It's clear that careful thought went into its design, making it an ideal fit for home studio setups like mine.I initially purchased this mount for my Blue Nano Yeti microphone, seeking a solution that could provide stability and reduce vibration noise without breaking the bank. The Auphonix Pro not only met but exceeded my expectations. It's a testament to the fact that you don't need to invest in high-end studio gear to achieve a professional sound quality from the comfort of your home. The build quality is robust, and it effortlessly supports the Blue Nano Yeti, providing a snug and secure fit. The difference in sound clarity and reduction of unwanted noise was immediately noticeable. I was so impressed with its performance that I've decided to order another one for my Shure microphone, which I use for more professional recordings. This decision speaks volumes about my satisfaction and trust in the product. What stands out about the Auphonix Pro Microphone Shock Mount is its balance between affordability and performance. It's not marketed as an all-pro studio shock mount, but for its price, it's a powerhouse. It's rare to find a product that not only meets but surpasses your expectations, especially in a market flooded with options. In conclusion, if you're on the hunt for a reliable, budget-friendly shock mount that doesn't compromise on quality, the Auphonix Pro is a stellar choice. Whether you're a budding podcaster, a musician laying down tracks at home, or anyone in between, this shock mount is sure to impress. It's a professional-grade tool without the professional-grade price tag, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

A great value. But it's not the best shock mount ever, of course.
I have a home studio and I have quality mics, but I consider my setup more of a prosumer, so for me the cost to have everything ideal is not worth it. If recording quality track is paramount I'd go to a studio where everything is optimized (and where they have spent that money). This items serves my purposes very well.Pros:Had no issues with clearance between the mount and the jack on my Mic. XLR plug went in and doesn't touch or rub the mount. Couldn't fit more perfectly.Price, considering what the average shock mount costs.Material of the mount. Metal, not plastic. Threads were the perfect size for the standard 5/8" mic threads, both on the mount side and the .Cons:The elastic part was made of something that is identical to what they use for hair ties for people to put their pony tails in but a very, very long piece of it. It works but it's not what I would consider a quality material. It also seems irreplaceable. Knowing how this type of elastic tends to lose elasticity fairly quickly, I question the longevity.I get that the whole thing is inexpensive so if it does break or lose elasticity, that a person could just buy a new one. But I don't like to throw things away even if repairing is the same price as new. Things should be repairable not disposable.

Very nice shock mount, but requires Yeti X mod
As many others have said, the Yeti X has cord binding issues. The micro USB cable and the headphone jack are partially blocked by the mount. I used a Dremel tool and milled out a couple of indentions so the 2 cables would fit without binding. With this mod, it is perfect for my needs, and really a great shock mount for the price. I touched up the bare aluminum with a black Sharpe and it looks great. If you only want to connect USB and don't care about headphones, you can spin the mic on the mount and there are a couple of positions where it won't bind. But the mic won't face forward - it would be rotated off to the side. And in these positions you can't plug in a headphone jack.I'm mounting this to a fixed vertical mic stand, so I'm not concerned with it slipping because when the mount is 90 deg it stays in position. Perhaps the people having trouble with it dropping/slipping are trying to tighten it at odd angles - I can see how this would happen. Not everyone with a Yeti X has a Dremel tool or the desire to grind away parts of the mount. But if you mod it, you'll like it.

Beats the 1st generation Blue mount
For years I have cursed the original shock mount I got from Blue when I ordered my Yeti Pro. It was always loose and was a total engineering FAIL for a mic the size and weight of the Yeti Pro. I finally couldn't take it any longer and began a search for a replacement, which brought me to the Auphonix Pro mount. It arrived today and I was happy to remove the Blue and send it to the trash bin. This one is considerably smaller and lighter. The Blue is large and very substantial, but too heavy poorly designed, but its brushed chrome finish made it a beautiful piece of gear.Installation of the Auphonix was a snap. Everything went together as expected. I held the treaded stud on my boom with on pair of pliers and tightened the knurled sleeve with another pair, and it's tight and secure. Finger tight did not work. It would come unscrewed from moving it. A bit of Loctite blue would be a good solution as well.My mic is at a 90° angle to the stand so it requires a bit of muscle to get the thumb screw nice and tight so it won't sag. I'm thinking some sort of compression washer might be a good idea.No problems so far. Just got it today so I haven't had a chance to really use it, but all it does is hang there anyway which it seems to be doing well.Good riddance Blue mount!

Bien fabriqué, mais limite sur la position du micro.
Belle qualité, mais la disposition du socle oblige de placer le micro dans une certaine position sinon les connecteurs ne sont pas accessibles. Il faut donc un support avec 100% de latitude de mouvement.

A great cheaper alternative!
Easy enough to assemble and adjust. Holds the microphone securely and leaves no worries that it will randomly collapse.
