Heavy solid construction had mapp running through the head for 10 minutes straight with no problem ignition works great every time and locks perfectly no complaints here works just as well as the twice as expensive ones I’ve used in the past! Great value!

I found this while looking for a cheaper alternative to the big name brand. This one looks identical so I figured I’d give it a try. I’m convinced it’s the exact same thing. This thing is absolutely great. I’ve found even with regular propane it gets plenty hot enough for my needs. Definitely creates more heat than the small regular propane torch head.

The ignition on this tourch was quick and easy, their was no fuel that came with the touch. The weight of the touch was perfect even for my wife. Heat output was extremely sufficient for any job needed.

I've owned and used the BernzOmatic TS4000 push button torch for years. It is a great torch. I am doing some plumbing work on my home and am installing several sweat ball shutoff valves. I needed a pencil flame torch. The flame on my BernzOmatic is too big/hot. I didn't want to damage/melt the seals in the ball valves. For safety reasons I wanted a pencil flame push button torch because it shuts off went you release the button and you only need one hand to use it. Having solder in one hand and the torch in the other and plus being on a ladder some times I didn't want to worry about trying to turn a knob to shut it off every time I soldered a joint or placing a lit torch down for a second to get something.After much research I came across this torch. It has everything I was looking for PLUS it comes with 2 nozzles. A regular flame nozzle like my BernzOmatic and a pencil flame nozzle. After reading the good reviews I ordered it. I just received it and am very satisfied. It is very well constructed and has a great feel in your hand. The flame adjustment knob is a knurled brass knob not plastic. Changing over the nozzles is very easy. Just unscrew the lock down nut pull it out, install the other one and tighten it down. The seals are tight so you have to use some pressure to seat the nozzle in the handle before tightening down on the nut.I just tried it. The torch lit on the first press of the button. The pencil flame nozzle is exactly what I was looking for. The size of the flame is perfect and you can adjust the size with the shutoff knob making it longer or shorter as needed. This torch is bigger than my TS4000 as you can see by the picture. I am a DIY home owner and not a professional plumber so this torch will NOT be used on a daily basis. It will only see very light occasional use as needed. I would say this torch is equal in performance and quality to my BernzOmatic TS4000. If your re looking for a propane torch I very satisfied with this torch and I highly recommend it plus it comes with 2 nozzles.

I use it camping, for fire starting, and some plumbing uses, and various other things, like tempering metal, starting wood stove,it works great, glad I got it.
