Brendan Fraser is very good in this funny comedy

Such a silly film.

Brendan Fraser is on top form in this boy meets girl meets jungle movie. The bad guys are a bit over the top but Cleese is great as the gorilla. The CGI is subtly done. Although the plot is so predictable it might as well not exist that isn't the point; this is pure popcorn escapism that's been really well made and as such is well worth watching.FYI the sequel is IMO rubbish - avoid.

I owned the VHS as a child and watched it til wore out lol. So happy to own the dvd now and honestly after a rewatch I still really enjoy it. The dvd itself came wrapped in plastic and had no damage on the case, worked great.
