Review: Ansio mini steam iron - I bought this mini iron as I am a quilter. It is small, heats up well, irons beautifully and feels lovely in the palm of my hand. I haven’t tried the steam function as I don’t use steam on my quilting fabrics so I can’t comment on this side of the iron. If you want a travel iron this would fit beautifully in your case and comes complete with a tiny water jug and a little bag to place it into making it ideal for your vacations. It takes the same time as a standard iron to heat up and the light goes out once temperature has reached your desired choice giving you great functionality for your fabrics (There is a dial to adjust temperature to whatever you need). It glides smoothly over your clothes. I use this iron way more than I do my normal iron. Overall I am impressed with the power this tiny iron holds and I am happy with the price I paid. I can highly recommend.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it have a UK plug?**
A: Yes, it does. It is cute as the Dickens, heats up in a jiffy and is very easy to use, ergonomically I guess you call it.
The cord wraps around it when you want to put it away, has a little bag to put in on (once cooled off), and even a little cup for adding water should you want steam.

**Q: what are the 2x max symbols at the top for? are they supposed to light up?**

**Q: Does this need to be used with an ironing board?**
A: I use mine with a wool ironing pad (as sold for craft purposes) or for smaller items, I use it with my sleeve board.      Obviously it does need to be used on some sort of heat resistant surface with some padding.

I bought this mini iron as I am a quilter. It is small, heats up well, irons beautifully and feels lovely in the palm of my hand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lightweight good quality iron suitable for travel

Attractive, good design, seems good quality and very light at 0.6 kilogram. Agree that easy to use with good clear instructions. Like the way cord wraps compactly round the "waist" between water container and actual iron. Heats up fast. Seems reasonably effective for ironing out creases when travelling and for "getting into corners" of small items as when ironing pieces for craftwork. Obviously, too light and low powered to compete with a heavy duty steam iron, so I tried it out on pillowcases, but found it would take too long to do a whole duvet cover! My only reservation is that the steam function does not seem very effective. I could hear the iron steaming gently when I held it above the item, but did not see any steam or feel it was really making much difference
