Got this box to lock up small pins and other jewelry in my consignment shop when I'm not there. It works just fine. Comes with two keys, has the peel-off protective film on it, and comes with a black velvet pad. It has a detachable stand that you can use to tilt the box but I'm not sure why they put it on the side with the lock... When I open the box, the top opens into me and my customers (I hope that makes sense)

Nice display case for my business

I would recommend these for a reselling display case. they're light weight, sturdy and safe. I use them for displaying my cutlery I sell and it keeps people from being able to touch and possibly get cut on the knives, as they're very sharp. About the only thing I would change is the lift to angle them upwards, mine falls out so I had to use clear packing tape to keep the acrylic piece in, but you can't see the tape under the black display pad.

This small locking display case keeps out the dust. It would work well at home or in a retail setting, but it’s definitely small, lightweight and portable enough that someone could easily walk away with it if you weren’t paying close attention. I’m a bit disappointed overall. The clarity of the case is good, but it’s very thin and kind of flimsy. I’d say the box itself is a thin, more brittle plastic than it is acrylic, which I think of as being more dense, semi flexible and durable. It has 2 plastic hinges at the back that open and close smoothly. There’s a removable black fabric insert to help prevent scratches and provide an aesthetic backdrop. It comes with 2 pieces of detachable acrylic. The rectangular one can fit into the grooves in the bottom of the case and slightly tilt it. That one is more practical. The other one can be wedged in 2 different positions, through grooves along the bottom back side, to prop the case open. It doesn’t work very well, and looks kind of lopsided, especially combined with the flimsy acrylic lid. It would be a little bit better if there was an identical piece for the other side. There are 2 keys, which is nice, and the case locks and unlocks smoothly with a silver toned mechanism. At the current price point of $37.50, considering all of this, I expected a higher quality product. If you need a small, basic lightweight, portable display case that locks, and isn’t made for heavy daily use, this isn’t a bad option. It comes ready to use, no assembly required.
