I recently purchased a Tundra Antenna Base Grommet for my vehicle, and it worked exactly as advertised initially. The grommet fit perfectly, providing a secure base for the antenna and effectively sealing the area to prevent water and debris from entering.However, after several months of exposure to the hot sun, I noticed that the rubber material began to deteriorate. It became soft and detached, losing its effectiveness and requiring a replacement. This was disappointing, as I had hoped for a more durable solution that could withstand varying weather conditions.Despite this issue, I decided to purchase another Tundra Antenna Base Grommet because the cost was reasonable, making it a relatively inexpensive fix. I'm hoping that this time around, it will last longer, but I am mindful of its potential limitations in extreme heat.In summary, the Tundra Antenna Base Grommet works well out of the box and provides a good seal and fit. However, its durability in hot weather is questionable, as the rubber may degrade over time. Given its low cost, it’s a viable option for a quick and affordable fix, but be prepared for the possibility of needing a replacement sooner than expected.
