Thought I was getting the whole pump. This is just the motor which I didn't need because only my mounting base was broken. I ordered what I thought was the whole unit with the intent of keeping the new motor as a backup. When I attempted to return it, I was informed that it was ineligible for return.

Replacement was a snap, less than five minutes and add on another ten or so for wire splicing. Works great. Was going to get a spare but since shipping was so quick I'll just wait till I need one. Since the original was was about seven years old don't think I'll need a new one too soon.

We use these 500 GPH pumps in our twin bait wells and always have a couple spare ones on hand (the threadfins eventually eat the pumps up with all those loose scales). Easy change outs - even in rough water. A couple of crimp connectors and a twist of the motor and you're back in business before the bait even knows the pump stopped working.

They are not that long lived, and if you get a whole season out of it you're lucky. Pays to have a spare handy, and that's why I ordered it.

This model is T500 which was supposed to be 500gal per hour bilge pump motor and I 've got only 350gal per hour motor which is significantly slower than 500, but at least it works.

Replacment was a piece of cake, but getting the old cartridge out was not very easy.

Tsunami - attwood pumps are great. I have five hooked up in my bay boat. They work hard, and are simple to switch out or clean. For me they are the only pumps i'll use..
