Placing the candles in their holders was a little tricky, but my grandchildren and I are enchanted! Beautiful!

We recieved a German Christmas pyramid for Christmas. The gift arrived damaged and parts were missing. It was returned and a credit was issued to us--because this was a 3rd party item. We elected to buy a different pryamid from the same company because it appeared to be better made than the one we were sent, it was taller and the same price. We received it in 4 days and were happy with the pyramid. It nicely constructed and has great eye appeal. It required some assembly which was a bit difficult as the instructions were in German. There was only one step that was not intuitive--there was a wooden cup with a white substance in it--this supports the needle shaft on the bottom of the pyramid and is held in place by a thin piece of wood, which I missed seeing in the package. The candle holders, vanes and pyramid top need to be removed for storage, but that is simple. The pyramid comes with no candles--they must be purchased separately--they need to be 14 mm (0.55 in) in diameter.

Everyone loves gazing at this pyramid when the candles are lit and the lights are low. Very well-made, great quality. I’ve had mine for three or four Christmases now. We just bought our newlywed daughter one because that’s what she wanted for Christmas in her new home. People stare at it because it’s so beautiful and amazing to watch the heat from the candle flames turn the fan above. I highly recommend this whether you’re giving it as a gift for yourself or for someone else!

I had broken my daughter's Pyramid, and searched the internet to replace it. Most of the ones I saw were $300 and up. I'm certain that they were well made, but certainly not within my budget. When I found the one on Amazon.com, I was cautious because of it's low cost in relation to all of the others. I also thought it would be coming from Germany, and that I would not get it in time for Christmas. I was wrong on both accounts. The Pyramid is well constructed ( we didn't need to be able to read German in order to put it together), and it was shipped to me getting to California 2 days after I ordered it. It came from Nevada, not Germany. Also, it had the candles included (and taking the advice of someone else's review, I had ordered candles, so we have enough for a few Christmases!!). Last night, Dec. 1, 2012, we lit the candles and watched as the pyramid propellers spun around turning the Nativity figures enclosed in the structure. It worked perfectly, and delighted my 3 year old great grandson who was amazed as to how it worked. This product was much better than I had expected!

I loved this pyramid! Now that I am a grandmother, I am trying to find a few special items to pull out each year that capture the imagination of my grandchildren. This did it! My 2 year old grandson wanted the candle lit at every meal and it kept him engaged while he was eating. He would remind me to light the candles at eat meal. Very easy to set up! And best part is the candle you purchase to go with it don't drip and basically disappear without a trace at the end so it's easy to load a new one.
