I originally bought the 850 watt version but returned it and bought this one because it went on sale and the price was almost the same.I bought this to use as a backup in case my home electricity went out. I have it hooked up to an old car battery. I used it on my fridge and it kept it powered up for a full 24 hours straight (could have been longer but I stopped it after 24 hours). Also works with powering up my TV and garage door. I haven't tested it to the max using all 1000 watts, and I don't think I will ever have the need to.I would say this inverter, with a car battery, can keep my fridge powered up and cold for at least 3 days if I cycle the power on/off every few hours. It's a great back up to have in case of emergencies.

I do maintenance, repairs and construction at over 20 locations around the county I live in, and in many cases, I'm nowhere near a power source. This inverter runs all of my corded hand tools, while simultaneously charging the batteries for my cordless tools. So far, the only thing it can't handle is my 12 inch miter saw, but I expected that to be the case. The only complaint I have is that the crimp on the ring terminals wasn't the best, and I've had to repair them, but it was just a matter of crushing it a little more and replacing the heat shrink tubing. All things considered, I'm very happy with this purchase.

After year and half it’s failed

I used this to power a deep freezer while traveling cross country and it worked perfectly. Great price and value.

As a mobile repair business I rely on this item every day. I was totally surprised by the reliability of it. I even used it to power my mother in law's oxygen machine when going on vacation. It worked perfect. Thank you.

Inverter does not produce 110v. Contacted customer service for a replacement and was told that the issue was my volt meter. Customer service promised a replacement, so I did not return to Amazon. Three month later, customer service said they would not honor the replacement.

Easy to use

This inverter is well built and has a hefty heat sink, and as far as the cables goes it comes with all the bells and whistles, however I can't give it five stars because I never used it, it was returned because I thought this was a pure syn wave inverter not a modified syn wave unit, partially my fault. If you're looking for a modified syn wave inverter I'd check it out.
