I managed to sleep on my side having my feet a bit up. It's not the best travel item ever, but it contributes to a better journey. I don't give it 5 stars because it was tricky to attach it (it may go down the table) and tricky to get in and out from it (I'm pregnant so my belly situation didn't help much on having flexibility to get in and out). I would say that in two thirds of cases it fitted around the stow away table and worked really well (especially on aircraft), but sometimes it just didn't fit due tot he design of the seat (mainly on buses).
