I'm not understanding the price structure - one pack costs $24.99, but 4 of them is $259? For... for 10 times the cost, not 4 times the cost?

You will see this type of thing often unfortunately. Just order 4 separate items and move on.

It’s high quality. I’m nit sure about country of origin, but most/all rare earth magnets material comes from China, I believe the tool is made in the USA

Some time ago I bought the 200...love it ordered two more and got what looks like a knock off version..did you quit making the good ones?

Mine is exactly like what is in the picture in the ad. I use it at least once a week it is very handy. If you got a cheesy one it's probably from a knock-off third party vendor.

Do you sale adaptations like claws to hold small pieces?

Not sure if this is what happened, but magnets will no longer work if you weld too close to them and get them too hot. I don't own one of these yet, but unless you were welding right next to the magnets, like 1/2" away, I don't see how they could have got hot enough for this to happen.
