That said most these backfkow preventer claim to "meet" the lead limit of 0.25 but are not stating they are actually NSF61-9 certified. Another claim is AB1953 which also limits lead to 0.25. But neither AB1953 or NSF372 on their own confirm the leaching. They also mislead because they are referring to the brass only, not the rubber gasket or the plastic components. Look for the NSF logo and confirm it is for the entire product. **Q: I bought this and it didn't fit. The 3/4" size seems correct, but the thread on my faucet is finer than this.
