Q: Will this work on a peg that's badly slipping and won't tune in?

My new cello had two pegs that refused to stay in place, and would slip almost instantly after tuning. Both pegs took quite a lot of going over, but no more slipping!

Q: Will this product help completely stuck pegs as my A peg will not move at all?

It would probably help to prevent a recurrence, but it wouldn’t solve your problem. I am not a qualified musician but I would suggest (1) put the violin in a warm dry place for a couple of days. (2) Try again to turn the peg. (3) Wrap the end of the peg in soft cloth and try again gently with pliers. (4) Go to a good music shop or luthier. Remember, a peg is much cheaper than a violin, so don’t do anything that might damage the instrument.
