My first was a 6 regular. I am 5'4", 120lbs, short legs, long torso. I typically wear 4 petite in pants. Based on previous reviews, I sized up to 6 bc I didn't want them too tight. I was nervous the petite would be too short based on the reviews, so I got the regular size first. I really liked my first pair. The material is thick and substantial and so comfortable and stretchy, while still keeping its shape. The material has a slight sheen that dresses it up a little. They served as alternatives to leggings and jeans for me. But I'll admit that I felt like the fit was slightly off; the regular was a little long and hair too big overall. I was hoping the petite would fix both these things for me, which they did! They are slim fit without being skin tight and are the perfect length for me. It's hard to find the right fit in pants, you know? I really wanted to make these work. The material was a nice ponte, not too thin. They definitely look like dress pants.. maybe more so than I wanted. Based on the picture I expected the pant leg to be tighter around the ankle, but they were loose at the bottom. So they didn't really work with the types of shoes I wanted to wear. As far as fit, I ordered an 8 and a 10, because I listened to other reviewers and it sounded like one of those would fit me. Both were too big. The 8 was pretty close to fitting me, but there was just too much room in the front area and the fabric bunched up when I sat down.
