I don’t normally write reviews but I suffer from cold sores and have tried creams, antibiotic tablets etc all with very minimal effect. My son googled the benefits of light therapy and concluded that infra red looked useful. I bought this little torch as an experiment and I have to say I am really pleased. I had a huge outbreak on Sunday and within 3 days it has almost gone. Totally unheard of before. If you suffer with these horrible things definitely give it a try. It doesn’t hurt, is not expensive, easy to use and is rechargeable. It comes with a cable and hard storage case.

Emits powerful IR and NIR. Sturdy construction. Pleasing design. Simple to use. My only reservation is that there is no LED to indicate when the device is fully charged -- thus I give this product 4 stars instead of five stars. Other than that, I am very pleased with it and I thinkit is good value for money.

I had to add this review because there is a lot of misinformation about this fantastic little product. It doesn’t get too hot, it has an aluminium body that gets warm , and even after 10 minutes you can still hold it. It warms your joints and in my case knuckles, which is really great, you can apply directly to the area required, it turns off after five minutes as a safety but the reviews above here that say it gets unbearably hot and you can’t touch it are just not true. Comes in a nice little plastic box with the charging cable, USB C, good price. And if you can’t charge it use a different charger, the second one I tried worked, it doesn’t like an iPhone charger

This red light torch is actually a pretty reasonable price (£13.80 when I got it); and does have the distinct advantage of being properly portable. That means you can aim it at places that you otherwise wouldn’t, such as around elbows (in my case currently). You zap it for 5 minutes a couple of times a day, and hope it works, basically!I’m a big believer in red light therapy, and already have a Beurer red light device and use it every day. The actual strength of this seems fine to me, but there are a couple of issues:1/ While it is portable, it’s also a phaff to hold it in one spot for 5 minutes. And actually, you still can’t do your back. If you have lower back issues (or around your shoulders or upper neck); then I’d look elsewhere.2/ The biggest issue however is the heat around the actual body of the torch, which is metal. It gets ridiculously hot. After one five minute session it is too hot to hold with bare hands. I had to hold it with padded paper to insulate against the conducted heat. I would say it borders on dangerous.Honestly not sure I trust this device enough to keep using it. I like the portability, and I think the red light seems fine. But it is just too hot to hold; and that is a major red flag for me.

Stopped working after one day. Does not seem to charge up . Turns off after a few seconds.

Good but didn't last long (days), shame really as whilst working it was amazing for speeding up skin healing.
