Very very Painful at 1st but works well. Takes perseverence!
As a bed of nails you have to expect some discomfort so you shouldn't be put off by this, but I have to be honest about using one. The end result is good. The muscles realax and the benefits are only comparable to a good sports massage or chiropractry. That said, it's very painful at 1st. When you 1st get on it's like laying on a hundred hedgehogs (!) and the pain is excruciating - 10 out of 10. After 5 mins it's starts to reduce but is still 8-9 out 10. After 10-15 mins it almost disappears 1-2 out of 10. The longer you're on, the less painful it becomes until you need to get off. Rolling off is probably the best method, but the pain is excruciating rolling off (back to 10) as you're suddenly putting pressure onto untreated regions. Once off, you're left with a red back sunburnt efect that burns very painfully for around 20 mins. The positives here are the more you use the mat (once daily), the less painful it becomes even at 1st lie as your body becomes used to the effect of lying on nails. So persevere, and the pain reduces massively including after getting off. The other positive is the relaxing effect and freeing up effect on muscles is amazing. You just need to be pain tolerant and accept that initial use and getting off is going to be very painful knowing that it will reduce over time as your body adapts. I doubt it will ever be pain free (2 weeks use here). But inial pain has reduced massively for me and the benefits are worth it. If you have a low pain threshold, it's not for you. But if you're prepared to put up with initially high pain for high gain, it's well worth it. As an aside, I don't but there's nothing to stop you taking painkillers before using!

We love it!
This was bought for my hubby as a gift and I must be honest I was sceptical, but we both now lay on this everyday/ every night before bed and it’s definitely making a difference! I have less headaches and it helps me sleep easier at night! It’s easy to use and functional. It rolls up for easy storage and the design is simple.

Takes some getting used to but great!
It hurts a bit but the blood rushes to my back and improves the back pain I feel. It also can be quite relaxing when you're used to it.

Does the job
Straightforward. Does the job as expected for a reasonable price given it's a foam mat with some spiky bits attached.

Love love love
I love this mat so much. 100% recommend trying it out, it really relaxes me before bed and it’s an absolute bargain, but the price doesn’t seem to compromise the quality

My new favourite thing
Received this as a gift, after suffering constant back pain for years I wanted to try something new. This is really good very relaxing and does help ease back pain and aches. Comes in a handy bag to carry or store away in and eye catching colours. It does take a bit of practice and getting used to the initial sharpness but trust the process !.I found it more effective on bare skin, slightly uncomfortable when first laying down but after a few minutes I felt relaxed and it felt good.
