Exceeded my expectations for glute training
I picked up the GMWD Hip Thrust machine and honestly I’ve been really impressed with it. I already own other GMWD equipment and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. Big fan of the brand. Assembly was straightforward, and once put together it feels very stable and surprisingly close to commercial gym quality. The pad is comfortable, setup is quick, and the movement feels smooth. One feature I really like is the crossbar design instead of the typical seatbelt restraint. It feels more secure, easier to use, and less annoying to set up between sets. Compared to barbell hip thrusts, I spend way less time setting up and more time actually training. What I like most is that I can train glutes hard without loading my lower back or dealing with balancing a barbell. It’s easy to push sets close to failure safely, and getting in and out between sets is effortless. The resistance profile also feels really good throughout the movement. I’m a pretty experienced lifter with a serious home gym, and this earned a permanent spot. If glute growth is a priority and you want something more convenient than barbell hip thrusts, I think this is an excellent value. A couple small things I’d love to see improved: more plate storage or higher resistance capacity for stronger lifters, and a band peg option would make this even more versatile. Also, the rubber section where the safety latch contacts the bar peeled after getting scraped. It’s still fully usable and purely cosmetic, but it would be nice if that area were a bit more durable. Overall, this is an easy 5 stars and I’d buy it again.

Great machine with good range of motion and comfort.
Thing works man. Range of motion is great, the construction is sturdy, and it was pretty straight forward to assemble. It was a well thought out design and the price is unbeatable for what you're getting. 10/10. Well done, GMWD.

Provides a great glute workout
Overall, I like this hip thrust machine and I’m glad I purchased it. I gave 4 stars because the weight horns are relatively short so you can only stack so much weight before you run out of space for more weights. You can only fit 3- 45 lb bumper plates on each side (unless you have thin 45’s). Another minor, fixable issue with the machine is the foot platform is a bit slippery. I added a textured/grip tape on the platform which helped tremendously. Otherwise, it provides a good glute workout and is so much faster and better than setting up a barbell hip thrust.

Solid product at a solid cost
Could pay three times as much easy for something of comprable value. I have this in my little neighborhood gym so it gets a good amount of use and it's holding up very well. Assembly was a little annoying but all these machines are. If you don't have a good set of tools for this kind of stuff I would invest in them. The machine works great - much better than using a barbell as you get way more range of motion - has a spot for both plates or bands which is nice, and is comfortable.

Amazing!! And yet somehow painful at the same time::))
Wow!! I had used a very expensive hip thrust machine in a hotel gym. I loved it but wasn't going to spend 3k on a machine. I have a large well stocked gym but this was the last piece to the equipment I needed and coveted. I had brought a Velcro strap device for dumbbells on Amazon that worked well enough, but was not great. I saw this and went online and found a gentleman who had the same device in his home gym. He explained the pros and cons and I was sold. The shipping was quick. I missed a sale on prime day by a day::((. The unit is sturdy and well designed. It took my husband the better part of the day to assemble it. Of note, this machine does have a large footprint and we had to find an area in our gym that would accommodate it. It is not the ideal spot(hard to manuever in and out of it) since we had to place it against an exterior wall/window. That would be the biggest drawback of this unit. I love this machine and it works exactly as expected. The first few days have definitely kicked my butt, as expected. No pain, no gain. This machine is awesome! On a side note, the machine also allows for you to use the footplate as a slant board. I have started doing dumb bell squats on it. Very sturdy and no foot slippage on the incline.

I’m happy with…
Great machine for home gym. I’m able to load a few hundred pounds of using thin weights. I’m 5’2” for reference and I’m comfortable with the range of motion.

Awful Quality
Bent weight sleeves so weight distribution is uneven. No way to straighten without breaking the weld. It was obviously just built this way and not damaged in shipping. Poor overall quality and no way to adjust the machine to fit different sized people. Too large for what it does. Takes up way too much space. I bought a hip adductor machine that was broken as well. Cracked welds at joints and bent footrests as well as the weight sleeves being too small for weights. The wobble and lean with standard 2 inch weights. I would not recommend buying anything from this company. No way to get a refund once you put this thing together.

Great Hip Thrust Machine
This hip thrust machine is awesome. Does exactly as described by the seller. It arrived on time, packaged very well, all the parts are there and easy to put together under 2 hours. My wife really love using this hip thrust machine and she can load 315lbs on this with no issues. She uses 45lbs bumper plates. It is sturdy, all the parts fit perfectly in place. Awesome purchase. Well worth it. I recommend this hip thrust machine for building your glutes and legs.
