Cuts Like A Knife

I was hesitant on beginning this book because my time is all over the place and my attention span is that of a two year old, but when I looked @ the cover and saw Lafayette Square, I was hooked. The memories from all the activity in the square from my childhood drew me to sit down and take moment. "Cut Like a Knife" was an great read, the characters had personalities like those of your friends and family. Your emotions are on a roller coaster when there is unconscionable death,the sanctity of the barbershop is disrupted; pissed off when illicitness is right under your nose and you discover @ the worst time possible and who doesn't have the ride or die friend that has the wayward neighbor who you try to engage as well? For eternity bad boys and law enforcement have provided suspense and intrigue, throw in some psychopath masterminds, loving from a far and a need for redemption with "white hats" to the rescue causes one to look a way for a moment to catch one's breath!! No great novel or cliff hanger is successful with out a love story - "Cut Like a Knife" is no exception; love between family, unlikely social economic statuses and twisted liaisons make you head spin as you reach for your glass of.....................to mellow out the night! Cannot wait for the sequel because I got some questions I need answered and some people I need explained!

This book and story are not my normal genre so I was initially hesitant. Once I started reading I was totally caught up in the story and the characters. I would recommend this to all of my friends that are interested in a great story of personal tragedy and personal resolve to overcome great lose..

This book left me feeling the pain and the love of the main characters. Kept me on the edge of my chair. Couldn’t stop reading once I got started. Very engaging.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I'm sure you will too. It's a great read that holds your interest and will leave you wanting more.
