Very, very satisfied in servicing pools!
I am in the pool service industry and have tried expensive, waterproof shoes, boots, cheap shoes, and the issue these all had in common was wet socks at the end of the day. So I got the idea to find a shoe that supported my feet like sneakers, but something I didn’t need to wear socks with. After 1 week and a couple days (running all my routes), including a couple rainy days, my review:Honestly, I’m loving these shoes. My feet get wet, but the winning point for me is that I don’t need to wear socks, so my socks don’t stay wet all day. These shoes dry so quickly. They also make it easy to get around obstacles, like on baja steps, because I can fully just step into the pool. The only con is that stuff, like little rocks, get stuck in the holes on the bottom sometimes. Nothing has stabbed me yet, and nothing stays in long.On the rainy day, these weren’t the best, because a bunch of areas were muddy, so i kind of sunk into mud puddles, but again, by the next pool, anything stuck on the shoe before, was gone. Just in the moment, feeling all the mud wasn’t fun, especially since I’m trying to move swiftly in the rain. We’ll see how long they last, but at this price point, if they last as long as any other cheap sneaker, it’s a win in my book. They dry quickly and I don’t have wet socks and/or feet all day. There are lots of different styles, and they have great reviews. I finally went with these ones because I wanted to try a shoe without laces! I’m glad I took the chance with these. Very, very satisfied!

Great for around the pool, not great for rivers
I bought these for a trip where I knew I would be in wet weather and rivers/beaches a lot. I wanted a water shoe that looked good, performed well but most importantly would work during outdoor hikes to and from watery places. I read the warnings about rocks slipping into the soles, but took them with a grain of salt and ordered anyway. These shoes fit great and when I was just walking around the pool/hotel they were awesome. They are comfortable and I liked the look of them, and actually liked them more than the shoes I got for the trip that were designated my "Walking around" shoes and ended up using them more than I expected. But the reason I got were really primarily for beach/river walking, and these did poorly at that due to the amount of gravel you end up with inside the shoe. After the first river visit I realized that the reviews about rocks were right, the shoes become magnets for small rocks. Even worse than the small rocks that would become embedded in the soles were the tiny rocks and silt/sand that would slip past the mesh on the bottom and end trapped inside. There was nothing really I could do, and I just learned to ignore the tons of gravel and sand that would accumulate inside until I could get to a spot where I could rinse/scrape the silt from the bottom of the inside of the shoe, as well as grab the larger rocks out of the sole. I also found that they were very slow to dry, often being still wet days after use.I would say these would be great if I knew that I was just going to be at a pool/hotel the whole time, but I didn't need a "Pool" shoe I wanted a performance water shoe, and these let too much debris in to recommend them for that.

Decent shoes if you're not going to wear them for very long.
These shoes are totally acceptable, if you are not considering any large distance treks. Or, for that matter, any that would take you near actual water. When I first received the shoes I was pleased at their appearance and they fit quite well. They looked enough like normal sneakers that I felt like I could wear them out and about without calling attention to the fact that I had water shoes on. I have noticed that if you are not careful when putting them on you will be able to hear some of the stitching break. Besides throwing them on to wear around town, I have worn these shoes for extended periods (8-10 hours or more) on three separate occasions which I think would show accurately how they'd handle over time.1.) A whole day at a Disney World theme park.We spent an entire day at one of the theme parks in Florida. After being at the park for about 2 hours it started to rain violently and there was flooding of up to a foot in certain areas of the park. I'm wearing water shoes so I figure that I can walk through these mini rivers and my feet will sort themselves out as they're surrounded by a quick drying breathable mesh. The rain stopped falling around 3 pm that afternoon and we arrived back at the hotel around 10 pm. My feet had never dried off and were starting to crack from being near moisture for so long. Basically, they dry out if you take them off and then leave them to dry for several hours. Otherwise they were comfortable and I felt like I had decent support for the walking all day.2.) Deep sea fishingSpent a whole day deep sea fishing where it was expected that we would be getting our feet wet. I wore a pair of wool socks in order to keep my feet warm as it was earlier in the season and the ocean would still be cold. I had a bit more success with my feet at the end of the day, but there was still a moisture problem with the shoe. If your foot is actually in the shoe it takes an incredibly long time for the shoe to dry out.3.) Hike along a beach/rocky sea wallI took a 2 hour hike along the local shoreline and at this point avoided all the water I could to see how the shoes would handle aggressive walking at this point. I have large blisters on my heel and on the outside edge of my small toes on either foot. If you're doing anything more than a casual stroll and the shoe is not perfectly fit (mine was pretty close) expect to have at least some kind of irritation if not full on blisters. Additionally, the sole of the shoes do not handle running along rocks very well. I found myself losing my grip fairly frequently. Enough to make me double check my footing as I was moving along. I have run this exact path in sneakers and not had as large a problem. The sole of the shoes feel more like a dense foam than a rubber sole. Also, if you find yourself running along a path with any sort of gravel, expect to be pulling small stones from the gaps on the sole of the shoe constantly.TL;DR - These shoes are fine for having some easy slip on shoes to go to the beach with, but if you want to use them for something athletic or wear them for any period of time (wet or not) expect to start seeing the issues.

Nice water shoes
We live on one of the Finger Lakes in NY and we have Zebra Mussels. Zebra Mussels can cut open a foot very easily so we bought 3 different sizes of these shoes (10, 11 and 12). When we jump in the lake or have company, it is nice to have the extra shoes. The shoes are very comfortable and will stretch so putting them on is quite easy.
