Does it crank easily or is your arm sore afterwards?** A: Sandra, the short answer is "a full load is a rather heavy crank BUT you can take all the time you want AND you can do smaller loads." It really helps to put it on a low table or computer desk (27" to 30") so your arm cranks it in a natural position.A long answer begins by adding weights. A heavy load is the worst case scenario so let's use that. 1.5gal water weighs 12 lbs and your clothes might weigh, oh, let's say 3 lbs. That's 15 lbs you need to crank for a 2 minute wash plus a 2 minute rinse. Again, you can take breaks if your arm gets tired. And you can use your other arm to help the tub do its revolutions.Hope this helps! Bonus tip: always add the water first, clothes last. **Q: Does it get all of the detergent and softner out when rinsing the clothes?** A: It does a pretty good job. As with conventional washing machines, if you use too much detergent it won't rinse as well. You can also use a spin dryer and skip rinsing in the Wonderwash altogether. Just dunk the clothes quickly in cold water, then drop in a spin dryer sopping wet. The high RPMs remove a great deal of detergent. People normally think of rinsing as the only way to remove detergent from the clothes, but higher RPM spin cycles also do a great job removing detergent. **Q: how many items fit in this product?** A: We usually don't pack more than 6 large mens t-shirts. The clothes need space to move around in order to get clean. Usually one pair of jeans will fit. Sometimes you can put two pairs of women's jeans if they are a thinner material. I've done some larger loads of light clothes like underwear, undershirts, and tanks. I wash many pairs of socks by themselves (up to 15 pairs at a time). **Q: How dry are the clothes after washing? One of the challenges I have with sink washing is it takes forever to air dry.** A: Very wet and it is amazing how long it takes clothes to dry that way. That is why I bought a mini-dryer as well so for about $100 total for the washer and dryer, our family cleans delicates and daily wash when we don't have a full load in these units. There is a small improvement I feel would make it a little more user friendly. Install some sort of lock to stop it from spinning when loading. It would also help with draining it, although to be fair the drain line would hold it still.
