R 065505 Skirt and Trouser Waistband Expander

I have the curse of many a woman of "a certain age" the spreading waistline, my waist is a minimum of 2 sizes larger than my hips and when it comes to buying jeans or skirts I used to have the choice of a comfy waist with an unflattering baggy hip and butt line or a nice fitted butt and hips and a waistline so tight it interfered with normal digestive functions. NO MORE I took a pair of stretch black jeans too tight on the waist but perfect elsewhere, following the instructions I wet the waistband and inserted the waist stretcher and wound it out slowly when the plastic start to bend a touch I wound it back a little then, using the hanger included, I hung it up. When the jeans were dry I retried them on, definitely bigger, but I decided I wanted a little more room so repeated the process. SUCCESS !! I now have a pair of jeans that fit beautifully everywhere I am working my way through my wardrobe and increasing both the wearable content of and the comfort as well. This product being plastic I can see how if you were unrealistic and tried to stretch a none stretchy product too far or to stretch too fast the plastic could crack so just be sensible with it. The only downside I can see is it needs to be redone after washing, but that is not a fault of the product. Can I repeat I love this product I am genuinely impressed with it. *I cannot believe I am sharing my flab with the world at large in the attached before and after photos but I am so impressed with this product I feel the need to enable other women of "a certain age" *

It appears to be made of a plastic that has a brittle feel to it that gives you little confidence in it's strength and robustness but I have used it on two pairs of trousers and it does do the trick a sight easier than having to force pieces of wood into the waistband when they are wet which was the previous method I employed prior to purchasing this contraption.

One of the cheaper large expanders available but does the job well enough though. It's a little flimsy and some may find it a little fiddly to set up?

The item is made from cheap plastic and so it snapped as soon as significant pressure was applied. Go for something a little more solid.

Tried to stretch waist of jeans and barrel snapped - good design if constructed from decent metal - not strong enough in my opinion

Über die Jahre sind meine Hosen immer enger geworden - böse Zungen behaupten auch, ich werde einfach immer dicker. Wie auch immer, in letzter Zeit drückten meine Jeanshosen immer mehr und als mir letztens sogar der Kopf von der Hose abgesprungen ist, musste eine Lösung her. Diät war das naheliegenste - aber zu langwierig und Schoki ist einfach zu lecker. Deshalb entschied ich mich für einen Hosenbundweiter - eine der besten Erfindungen seit es Hosen gibt. Den Bund etwas befeuchtet und die Hose ordentlich in den Hosenbundweiter eingespannt und am nächste Tag ist sie deutlich größer. Wo es vorher gedrückt hat, ist nun sogar noch Luft. Nach mehrmaliger Wäsche zieht sich der Bund zwar wieder zusammen, lässt dich dann aber einfach erneut spannen. Spannt man zu stark, verbiegt sich der Kunststoffspanner leicht und man bekommt Angst, dass er zerbricht - bisher hat er aber einwandfrei funktioniert. Auch das Kunststoffgewinde ist stabiler als der erste Eindruck vermuten lässt. Insgesamt bin ich sehr damit zufrieden.

A quasi un anno dal suo utilizzo, posso dire che risponde appieno allo scopo. Mi era stato consigliato da un'amica francese, che lo utilizzava da anni, l'ho trovato grazie ad Amazon. Allarga veramente una taglia i pantaloni, che non stringono più in vita.

Appareil simple d'utilisation.Je mouille bien au niveau de la taille et je met l'appareil en place et le laisse en place jusqu'au séchage complet. Ça fonctionne réellement et simplement, j'avais quelques pantalons que je ne pouvais plus mettre car trop serrés et cet appareil m’en a sauvé déjà trois. Je le recommande vivement, même s'il parait un peu fragile (je ne sais pas si les autres articles vendus plus de deux fois plus cher sont plus solides...), donc, si il casse, j'en rachèterai un autre ! Ce n'est absolument pas un piège à con comme l'écrit un client !!!!
