I can easily tear off a piece of paper towel without the holder moving at all. The seller is extremely nice and she was able to resolve an issue that I had with one of the paper towel holders. Because of that, I was more than willing to order a third one (the second one had been defective, but hey, can't have perfection every single time). I am utterly satisfied with this product and encourage you or others to go for it - it won't leave behind adhesive or require you to put nails into walls - very simple to use (but putting it together can be really tough to do if you struggle with very tiny screws). I don't see this holder ever needing to be replaced.
