I have used these pens for drawing for years...I keep old ones that are wearing out...as you can use them for fainter/ thinner lines. You can use them for line work & them wash water/coffee over the areas to create a tone wash effect. As with all watercolour techniques you can use a dry brush to 'take out' excess ink wash. However, from a technical perspective if you attempt to redraw over the ink wash work & rewash again the build up does not work as well...so it is basically a 'one wash' job. I buy them in bulk ..check out the best prices.

I never seem to find my fineliners when I need them. They are very popular in my house with everyone else too. I am glad I bought this box because I plan to put it in my craft box out of everyones way so I can find them when I next need one.I use these for fine detail on stamped images so that the outline stands out. They don't dry out quickly and are waterbased. They are also great for doing dotted borders or imitation stitched boarders when making handmade cards. I also enjoy using them to write very fine and small words. The tip is fine enough for many art and craft projects or just to use everyday if you like writing with a fine tip, 0.3mm.This is an excellent price at under £8 for 10. Highly recommend.

GOOD====There are two types of pen that catch my eye. The type that look good and write in a non scratchy, beautiful way. Then there's the second. They may not look fantastic but they are really nice to use. The edding 55. (  edding 55 Fineliner Pack of 10 - Black  ) falls into the latter category.They are never going to win awards for being beautiful looking writing machines, they do however, give faultless drawing.FINE====They draw in a delicate, fine, non smudgy way. They are ideal for technical drawing, outlining or simply doodling.VALUE=====A pack of ten will probably last you for a few years given normal useage.COMPETITORS===========I prefer the cheaper staedlers  Staedtler triplus fineliner tip box 10 black 334-9  in look and feel but prefer these for actual drawing ability.RECOMMENDED===========Yes.

I have been using this pen for yeeeeaaaaaaaars...I try others every so often, (some nice Pilot rollerball ones), but always end up coming back to them. They don't look like much, but are the most comfortable I have ever used. My writing never looks smarter than when I use these, it's more controlled in the way it grips the paper, doesn't smudge or bleed through to the other side of the page. I'm inclined to lean quite heavily so they do wear quite quickly but I think I'm harder than most and they are priced well enough for this not to be an issue.

Promotes good handwriting. Fine ink. Dries immediately.

Favourite pen for all sorts of writing - everyone's handwriting looks better when usng this pen.

Great value with great quality fineliner! Sturdy barrel thicker than most fineliners, strong nib too, great color lay down.
