This is a good item. A little heavy for gigging, but for a practice kit, it's great!

Sturdy and comfortable, good height range.
Easy to assemble, very comfortable seat, materials seam to be fairly good quality, and pretty sturdy.Goes from about 19" low to 25' in height, so not quite as low as the 18" they claim, unless they are talking about height when compressed/sitting, and that is a thick cushion.I have a couple of images posted against a 23 inch tall Fender stool for comparison.Back rest has two depth settings, I think if you go with the furthest away from the seat, this would give you the biggest opportunity to bend the back rest support like other reviews have mentioned. I did not try to force bend it, and with the support in the position closest to the seat, I'd say it'll be pretty difficult to bend while sitting for a 200lb'er.Looks like it will be much more comfortable than my Fender stool.

Heavy duty, jump on it to get the seat on the post solid.
Almost thought I was going to have to send it back. It came out of the box looking so tough and stable but I had the hardest time putting the seat on the post (yes I removed the plastic protector cover). It went on but was so wobbly and wouldn’t secure properly. But I was determined to make it work and after bouncing my behind on it hard a handful of times it felt just right. I doubt I’ll be able to break it back down to haul it in a smaller space but it is wicked stable and very well built. 10/10.

NOT RECOMMENDED
Max height lower than advertised. Hydraulic system bounces when playing drums. The back rest is very uncomfortable. Not recommended. I returned this and bought a throne with back rest made by BOLT here on Amazon. It cost a little more but well worth it. Height, stability and comfort are excellent.

It is 1 1/2 months old and the backrest is stripped and can't be tightened!
