I wish I had known about these a year ago.
I would have had my son on straws a year ago. He's a few weeks from 2 years old, and because he was a bit behind in speech development, it was recommended we lose the sippy and get him on straw drinking. Problem is, he's been drinking from a bottle and sippy his whole life, and he tips up his drink, just out of habit. So, two months after I've given up possibly dehydrating my son (exaggerating; that was never a danger) by only letting him drink during supervised sessions, and enduring many fits because I wouldn't let him hold the cup, THIS MIRACLE product shows up in my recommendations on Amazon. It's simply a godsend. I don't caaaarrrrre that it takes three different tools to clean. Sponge for cup, bottle brush for lid. Special straw brush (provided) for the straw. (Which, by the by, manufacturer, can you please not bother giving me a bendy straw brush for a bendy straw? Thing is, the straw can get straight. The brush? Cannot. Fixed handle, please.) The straw brush included SUUUCKS but it works. At first, I thought, How Cool, this little bendy brush for a bendy straw...but it's TINY and hard to grip, Especially when you've got soapy hands. Also, because it is flimsy, and the straw is flimsy, things get weird. If you don't put the lid on properly, and I'm talking EXACT pressure here, it will back-fill and ooze liquid from the top of the straw. Doesn't happen all the time, but gets worse as the cup gets older. Other brands have done the same thing, so I'm used to it, and adjust accordingly. I'm not even sure it's the lid's fault. I might be overfilling. Whatever. It drips sometimes from the straw. Not often, maybe once every few days. But, in all seriousness, I am grateful for this. My toddler has already improved in his speech development because he is able to drink as he's used to, while developing the muscles in his mouth. The weighted straw allows him to lay back and drink his juice while he's listening to stories, or sucking down milk at naptime, or just tip the cup up because that's what he's done forever. There isn't just a taaaad bit of milk left in the bottom because it got caught in a pocket, because the straw reaches every bit of the inside of that cup. I love these cups. LOVE. I feel like I am winning at life every time I hand one to my son. Spill that, kid. Hide it somewhere when you're done so that I find it in two days, 'cause there's nothing in it to go sour. Challenge accepted, Mom. He still gets the last laugh, though; I have to wash it.

Our grandson chews the straws
Pros: The weighted straw allows the child to drink, regardless of the cup angle. It is pretty leak proof. Cons: If the drink is cold and warms up, it may leak a little. Not really a con, more the result of physics. Advice: Make sure that the lid is installed correctly. If it is a little catty-wonker, it will leak. Make sure the straw is pulled all the way, and that the cover for the vent is in the correct location, it will leak. Check for mold. It can start in the lid around the straw and vent. Clean the straw with the supplied brush, daily. Improvements: Sell replacement straws. Our grandson has chewed up three straws. The cups and lids are fine. I highly recommend these cups.

Value for money
Once you hear the click when you close it, it’s leakproof there after. Love this. Straw is always a hassle for a person like me to clean. My hands are always slippery. So it gets difficult to clean the straw but the bottle and other items are dishwasher free. Love this bottle. My baby loves it too. I used it for both my babies. 7 years later this product is still of same quality. They’re great

Great for traveling and everyday use
I love the Muchkin brand. These are tall and fit car seat holders so well. Like the weighted straws so toddler/baby can get every last drop. Down side is cleaning the stretchy straws and sometimes can leak from the lid. Overtime the lids start to not snap on as well. Great value for money. Colors blue and green as pictured.

Review after MONTHS of use.
I bought these for my son who was learning to drink from a straw and transition from sippy cups. These are very hard to drink out of IF your little one is just learning to use a straw. The Dr. Browns straw bottle that was similar is a great in between before this one. It is leak proof but still takes effort to drink. I eventually tried these again and he now wants nothing to do with any other bottle but these. He is able to get every single drop of water because of the weight which turns in all directions, whether laying down or standing. These tend to get moldy easily, but I wash them regularly in the dishwasher, or just rinse them out daily to refresh them. They leak a fair bit, but not enough for me to quit use. Just be aware of what colors you're putting in that could leak. Overall, my son loves them and so do I!

The Best Sippy Cup
These cups are a staple in our house. We've used them for both of our kids and both of them adapted well and used the cups with ease. If the lids are on properly (twisted until you hear the click), they do not leak at all and can survive the toddler "toss off the table." The weighted straw makes it SO easy for really young toddlers to drink from the cup and always get liquid up the straw. The only thing I don't like about them is the process for cleaning the straws. The straws are very narrow and wiggly so you need to use a small brush to get inside them but that negative far outweighs the benefits on these for me.

These Munchkin Any Angle Weighted Straw cups are fantastic. My kids absolutely love them, and this is the second time I’m buying them, which says a lot! The weighted straw really works and lets them drink from any angle without frustration or spills. They’re easy for little hands to use, great for transitioning to independent drinking, and very practical for everyday use. The quality is excellent, they’re easy to clean, and they’ve held up really well over time. I highly recommend these to any parent looking for a reliable, kid-friendly cup.
