It’s a great small travel kettle.
I was hesitant to purchase this because of some negative reviews. But I’m so glad I did buy it! The instructions provided are very clear and concise, and the kettle works perfectly. I made sure I waited the recommended time before opening it after heating, and I had no problems with splashing or steam. Recommend to leave it open until the kettle and the lid completely dry before packing or storing. It is perfect for heating water for tea, coffee, hot cereal, or soup in a hotel room.

Low wattage option for boondocking!
This portable travel electric kettle is a must-have for anyone who enjoys off-grid adventures. I was specifically looking for a low-wattage option, and this kettle works perfectly with my EcoFlow River 256Wh solar generator. It heats up to boiling in under 10 minutes, which is impressive for such a compact appliance, it does use about 10% of the battery to boil water. One of the best features is the four temperature settings, which gives flexibility depending on whether I need boiling water for soup or just hot water for tea or coffee. It's compact, portable, and durable, making it an excellent addition to my boondocking gear.Overall, this travel kettle is a versatile and efficient tool for anyone who needs reliable heating while on the road. Whether you're making hot drinks or preparing simple meals, it's a great value for the price.Pros:🌟Low wattage, perfect for use with solar generators🌟Heats water quickly (boiling in under 10 minutes)🌟Four temperature settings for versatility🌟Compact and portable, ideal for off-grid travelCons:💥None so far!Highly recommended for campers, travelers, and anyone in need of a reliable travel kettle!

Great traveling companion
I bought this for a trip after reading that the hotel did not have a coffee maker in the room. (Although it turned out that it did.) I like having tea in the evening and a lot of hotels don't have coffee/tea service at nice or else I just don't want to go out of my room to fetch it.Anyhow, the travel kettle fit well into my personal bag for the flight and I set it up in the hotel room bathroom. The kettle takes a few minutes to boil water, it's not fast, maybe five minutes, but it does a good job. There's enough water for one cup of coffee or tea, or hot water for instant cereal, etc. The cord can store inside the kettle for travel, although I took care to wrap it so it wouldn't scratch the interior. When you get the kettle, everything comes shipped inside -- so make sure to look inside before you think the cord is missing! There are a few temperature settings, which is nice because some teas brew best at boiling while others need a lower temperature to avoid being too bitter. It's fairly straightforward to set the temperature. It was supposed to beep three times to tell me that the water was boiled, but it didn't beep at the 212F setting and for the 176F setting it beeped once. This isn't the kind of appliance that you plug in an walk away so the beeping (or not) is not a big deal for me. I boil the water and immediately unplug the kettle. It does have a grounded cord and the cord is long enough for countertop use without being so short that you need to shove the kettle up against the wall to use it.Finally, it looks nice. I have the beige color and it has a bronze/gold stripe that gives it a bit of bling. I probably won't use it very often at home but this has earned a place in my luggage for travel.

Works well but takes a few minutes
I wanted to make tea in my office, so I went looking for a kettle that was compact, easy to clean, and could serve up 1 to 2 cups at a time.Picked this kettle up on sale and, while I don't love it, it serves its purpose.Pros:- Compact. Doesn't take up much room on the desk.- Adjustable temperature settings & displays current temperature.- Great for 1 big serving or 2 normal servings.- Travel-sturdy: Cord can store inside, and once the lid screws on, it's one solid capsule, preventing damage.Mid:- Because it's tall and narrow, it's hard to wipe out or clean inside. Get a bottle brush. Cleaning/drying is then easy. This may reduce portability for travel, though.- One of the reasons it says "heat ONLY water" is because of the way the lid is constructed to vent steam. It could very easily get food or milk stuck in there and mold.- Cord is not long, but it's also not extremely short. It's about 31" (79cm) long, which is more than enough length to plug in and reach the edge of a kitchen counter.- No spout, but still easy enough to pour.Cons:- Takes several minutes to heat water. A microwave or keurig is much faster. Both, however, are more expensive than this kettle and less portable. Find something to do while you wait. (This is the reason I only gave it 4 stars and am not enamored with it. I could leave my home office, go to the kitchen, heat water in microwave or keurig, make a sandwich, and return to my home office by the time this kettle heated up water.)Hope this helps your decision-making!
