With the limb in the kit, expect 1 to 1.25 inches of penetration into a standard high-speed crossbow target with a maximum effective range of 15 yards. Upgraded to the 55 lb limb, expect 1.5 to 2 inches of penetration with a maximum effective range of 30 yards. Incidentally, one of the bodkin bolts it comes with embedded itself to the vanes against the length of a bit of flakeboard used to hold my particular target together, this was at 30 yards with the 55 lb limb. If having issues with jams or misfires, check to make sure the cocking mechanism is aligned correctly. Initially I was dealing with misfires due to the metal string hooks leaning inward. To fix this, I took a pair of pliers and gently rotated the hooks outwards to the point they were completely vertical.

Wow this lil crossbow fires fast and is pretty accurate at 30 feet. Use a proper target or you will ruin your vanes. I used cardboard and it started ripping them off and warping them. Just stuffed some old cloths in a garbage bag wks perfect. Put a laser on it as sights pretty basic but functional. Awesome lil piece.

Only shot this a few times but so far am very pleased with it. It was easy to assemble, seems good quality, and works well.

I purchased this Steambow AR-6 crossbow from Amazon on July 13, 2024. My 35lbs limb broke by no fault of my own. I was past the return date. I contacted Steambow sent me absolutely free a 55lbs limb and a set of aluminum limb tips as replacements. I recommend Steambow as a company and their products are great!

It doesn’t latch well and the bolts don’t drop into the bow. Every single one has gotten stuck. I’m convinced they’re not even fore this crossbow.

This is a toy, it’s not for any actual serious purposes. It lacks power, even for a small bow. The lower is well built and feels good. The magazine is a cool idea but the bolts you have to use are not good at all. If they stepped up the bow strength they would have something.

Easy to assemble and fun to shoot. My only wish is for a little lighter bow as an option. I bought one for a friend and it is just a few pounds too much for her to cock.

35lb limb is pretty easy to cock, but target penetration is kind of lame....This is a plinker only. Actual product appears decent quality.

Seré lo más onesto es como mi favorita diseño pero tiene contras esta muy vien echo dispara vien no muy potente pero es suficiente para derribar alguien se carga sin batallar a veces a mi me salio defectos la cuerda se rompió le tuve que comprar una de 50 libras con la responde más potente o igual en mi opinión verdadera la devén perfeccionar el arco más compacto y menos peso delante y seria una pistola completa danger si esto hace con 35 lbs que no aria con 55 lbs si casi me encanto si no me encanto fue por la cuerda si no 5 star y no deberían dever esto a público en mi opinión que bueno la tengo si compraría de nuevo es rapidisima
